That add box is still haunting me. It has everything from update your browser adds to get e-mails from Clinton. Nothing in the startup folder seems to have any effect on it. there is no x on the box, just an open or hide add icon. Its driving me nuts.

I keep getting Error 999 when attempting to access my e-mail. I have no security issues, I've cleared history, and I'm wondering why, as I'm reading, "Yahoo has banned my IP address"

First Try This.It might help a bit if you have a corrupt Cache File:-

Clear your browser's caches and cookies. Close the mail page, click Start > Control Panel > Internet Options (or on Internet Explorer toolbar click Tools > Internet Options) and delete Cookies, Temporary Internet Files, and History. You might also click Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup > and run Disk Cleanup.

Scripting may be disabled in your Internet Explorer. This may happen due to updates. To enable scripting, follow the instructions on this HELP page (it is for Messenger, but it may help here as well):

Otherwise Contact Yahoo at:-

If you're using Internet Explorer 6:-
You may also need to disable RESEARCH add-on in IE6 due to recent updates:
Disable Internet Explorer 6.0 add-ons:
1. From "Tools" menu, select "Manage Add-ons"
2. Click on the "Research" add-on if present, and then click Disable.
3. Close and relaunch the Internet Explorer internet browser.

There are a bunch of compile errors.

Here is the most common since you did not include the entire error...

This problem may occur when the following conditions are true:
  • The Microsoft Office Startup folder or the Microsoft Excel Startup folder contains either or both of the following Adobe Acrobat PDFMaker add-in template files: Pdfmaker.dot
    Pdfmaker.xla
  • Norton AntiVirus software is installed.

Method 1: Download the latest version of the add-in for Adobe Acrobat 5.0 loadTOCNode(2, 'resolution'); To obtain an updated add-in for Adobe Acrobat 5.0, visit the following Adobe Web site: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/update.html (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/update.html) Note Microsoft does not support downloading and installing add-ins from the Adobe Web site. If you need help, you must contact Adobe Technical Support. uparrow.gifBack to the top Method 2: Move the files loadTOCNode(2, 'resolution'); Move the Pdfmaker.dot file and, if present, the Pdfmaker.xla file from the Office or Excel Startup folder to a different folder on your hard disk. For example, you can move the files to the My Documents folder.

To have us move these files for you, go to the “Fix it for me” section. If you would rather fix this problem yourself, go to the “Let me fix it myself” section.
