Overflowing washer I have an eaton viking filter flo washer that has been working perfectly until today. I loaded the washer put it on my desired cycle and load size medium, i went down twenty minutes later to add fabric softener as it should have been on the rinse cycle, but... The washer was still filling (and pooring all over my floor as the washer was now overfull) and the dial hadnt moved at all... is there a censor for how full it should be?? any ideas how to fix this??

Your water pressure switch is malfunctioning or the tube that connects to the bottom of the tub and runs up to the pressure switch is clogged. You need to get into the control panel and see if you see a clear hose. Remove it from the switch and either blow or use a small blast of compressed air to clear the clog. then try another wash. By the way do you use powder detergent? If so do you put it in before the clothes or after the clothes are in.

Turn off the alarm eaton viking stove

This did not work for me. The alarm won't go off at all. The dial for the clock seems very loose - it stuck many times when I was turning the dial to change the time, and then it just got loose, and now the alarm won't go off. Please help!

Water keeps overflowing, dont know how to clean the filter or where it is .

hi, read about your problem. The filter is located at the bottom of the front of washer. If its not visible, remove the bottom kick panel. Three screws at bottom. Take a shallow pan and place under filter. Slowly turn counterclockwise and water will slowly start to come out. When pan is partially full, empty. Be sure to close filter before doing this. Keep up with this procedure until no more water comes out, then unscrew filter and remove and clean. Reinstall and put kickplate back on. Hope this helps.

Where can I find Viking Dryer drum belts? Who still has Eatons Viking dryer parts/ Montreal, Quebec

Hello, welcome to FixYa. Good day from Alberta !

At the risk of generalizing ( unless you can provide a model number ) most of the appliances sold through Eaton`s all across Canada where built by General Electric/CAMCO, which have since become "MABE". The exception would be the really old unit`s ( 25+yrs. ) who could either be built by Westinghouse, or GSW.

In any event, regardless you should be able to locate a belt at brick & mortar parts stores in your area or online at vendors such as "reliableparts.ca", "searspartsdirect.com" to name a couple.

Check the link below it has a local Montreal "GE" phone number if you scroll down that site.

http://www.geappliances.ca/parts/index.jsp

This should also help when putting on the new belt...

Kenmore 80 Series Overflow

We've now had this happen three times and the exact same thing caused it all three times.

If the water level selector knob hasn't "clicked" into one of the given load levels on the control panel(i.e. the knob is in between levels) it will continue to fill until you discover water everywhere and turn the knob until it "clicks" into a level.

As far as I know, it has nothing to do with loose hoses or bad switches, it's bad design. There seems to be no safety mechanism to turn off the water if you over- or under-shoot the desired water level.

Stove oven wont work..

Yes, you can use the Eaton Viking element in place of the Gibson element as long as all mountings are the same.
You should use ceramic washers between the element and the casing to prevent it from grounding out...which is what probably happened to the element in the first place.
Be sure to look for chapped or burnt wiring BEFORE replacing the element. Also look for burnt connectors.
Hope this help you! :)

Washer continues to fill until it overflows

I had same problem today. It was just a tube disconnected from the water level sensor. Raise the top of the washer and look on the left side of the tub. There should be a plastic tube running from the water level sensor to the control panel. Make sure it is connected. If not simple reconnect the tube and you should be good to go.

Whirlpool washer overflow during wash cycle

What you can try is to get the machine empty and remove the hose that connects the pressure hose to the switch and blow air through it to make sure it is clear, then tap on the nozzle where the hose connects on the switch to make sure it is also clear.
