These must be 3 phase mixers (electrically there are two choices, single and three phase) Three phase cables typically have 4 wires, black, white, red and green (green is ground of course) To reverse the rotation of your mixers you would have to swap two of the three colors, and it doesn't matter which two of the three you choose, DO NOT SWAP THE GREEN, LEAVE IT ALONE. for example, just change red and black wires where it they connect to the plug. Of course turn off the power, unplug the the mixer, and usually you can take the plug apart and reverse the wires. If your units are hardwired you should call an electrician in to do it, it will only take a couple of minutes. three of my hobart mixers are spining wrong what - cf652f29-33fe-4eee-8e37-1addfd1bcb1a.jpg aec28350-7e8b-4d45-a617-78e7a23dbf21.jpg

I just bought an old Hobart mixer for $75 .how old is it?

That's a bargain if it works. Apparently the date is hidden in the last three digits of the serial number, so February 1998 seems likely. The only sure way is to contact Hobart themselves. They have a great service department. I have used many Hobart mixers in my catering career.

I found this;

As the previous poster mentions, you can't decipher Hobart serial or ML numbers. I have about 30 pieces of Hobart equipment ranging from mixers to slicers to reach-ins to dishwashers and I couldn't make heads or tails of the numbers. Finally, I got hold of someone at Hobart who I emailed all the model numbers, serial numbers and ML numbers to and they emailed me back the month and year of manufacture. Even after I got the information, I still couldn't figure out where in the serial and ML numbers the manufacture dates were buried.

Hobart three phase mixer is spinning the wrong way

Sounds like the polarity. Easily corrected by swapping the red and black position of the wires inside the plug. Make sure there are no other power sources feeding the unit before removing the plug.(the white and green wires should not be moved. Easy way to remember wiring a three phase plug. Most are labeled on the inside of the plug with GXYZ. G is always the green ground wire. X-red (Indians were here first), Y- white ( then came the white man) Z- black ( then the black man)

I have three hobart mixers that are spinning the wrong way what can i do

Polarity on the incoming line is incorrect. You will need to swap the red and black wire in the panel box. If you are not experienced with electricity have an electrician perform this for you..

I needed to know the PH for a h600 11344142 Hobart mixer... And is it a single Or 3 face??

Hello Jbabajanov,

I understand that you want to know about the HP (Horse Power) of a H600, 60 quart mixer and weither it is a single or three phase.

All H600 Hobart mixers are equiped with a 2 horse power motor.

As to wether it is single or three phase you will need to look at the service tag of the machine. If is listed on it weather it is single or three phase.

Thank you for choosing FixYa.com

About how many time you must change the oil.

For most applications once every two to three years should be fine.

Only have two phase power power company refuses to install three phase can i run my hobart h600-t mixer serial#31-1068-582 ml# 104385 with just two phase?

first thing, there is no 2 phase pwr. there are only single phase or three phase.you have 2 choices either you can convert mixer from 3phase to 1phase which will be expensive, or you can get a rotophase which will make 1phase pwr to 3phase pwr to run mixer, dont go with static phase inverter, only the rotophase inverter

Need to know what type motor is in a hobart D 300 mixer

Look on the I.D. plate. Voltage should be listed. "PH" is for phase. It will either be single (1), or three (3) phase. "AMP" is for ampacity or the amount of power it consumes. Hobart's manual does not list the motor as an entire replacement unit. It only lists parts as if you were to rebuild the motor. Sorry.

Hope this helps some.
