Question about Motorola Mobility MOTOKRZR K1 Cellular Phone

Ringtones not working

I just downloaded a bunch of ringtones, but when I go in to set the rington, there is a little tiny lock over the bell-bullet. When I try to preview the songs, it plays silence. There are locks on every tone, including the tones that were included with the phone, so I can't put any ringtone on my phone now. What can I do?

I have tried to bluetooth my personal ringtones to my new phone and for some reason the are all locked and I can not do anything but set them as a ringtone or listen to them.

The lock indicates that the song is protected, or locked and cannot be transferred or deleted. Where did the music come from? If you downloaded it from a ringtone site, or your company, try downloading them again. It also may be a memory error, if you have too many photos / videos, it will effect the audio and ringtones on the device. Best of Luck.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

You have to go to start > settings> sounds< ringtone - and then on the bottom of the list should be the ringtones that you downloaded.

Ringtone for each phone number

I have verizon too and I used to have this phone. You need to go to contacts, and choose the contact you want to put the custom ringtone for. Once you get to the contact you want to add the ringtone for, press edit. Scroll down till it says ringtone, then press "set" and choose from your list of ringtones. Press ok, then press save. This should work. If not, contact verizon because then it would be a software issue :) Hope I've helped you out!

Download ringtones into samsung sph-m800

you can only do this 2 ways. the first way being, go to on your phones browser and download ringtones that you want. most are free. or, find a phone uploader and if the ringtones are already on your computer, upload them and send yourself a "jump code". i have sprint and this is what i use: im not sure about bell though. it might work... good luck!

I have a motorola VE240 phone. I have downloaded ringtones in my sounds files. How do I take those files and use them as ringtones.

To take sound files you have downloaded you have to move them to the phone memory instead of the memory stick. Also you have to send the sound to a MMS msg to yourself and then save it. It is very stupid and annoying that the manufacturer Motorola did it this way, they really shouldnt be taking the ringtone companies best interests over the end users.

Can't send ringtones via bluetooth

No. The purpose of them locking the ringtones that are purchased is to prevent people from sending them to others. What you can do instead is visit and download ringers/pictures/etc and then transfer them to your z3 via the USB cable. Then you can transfer whatever you want to whoever you want whenever you want. :)
