well the v don't work, but the command-v does, there does not seem to be any problems, everything on the hardware side seems to be working, even shows owner of the mac book. is it to display problems in red?

    Hi technical_mc,

Trying to understand your situation here, you see a spinning gear instead of a blue or gray screen, not an icon of
a broken folder, not a flashing question mark. It may be a kernel panic.

When you boot up in verbose mode and your laptop is fine, it exits automatically after you see all the white text then the computer startup process progresses sufficiently and the blue screen appears.
If the computer does not progress beyond verbose mode, and does not
eventually load the Mac OS (meaning you do not get the login or the desktop or finder does not load), verbose will let you know where it stopped loading. The last line of text in verbose give you an idea where it gets stuck.

Nathanh29 may be right. It is possible that your Mac is not booting up on your hard drive. Make sure any external hard drives, USB flash drives, and CDs are not in the Mac. Then try shutting it down and booting it back up. Let us know what you find.

Hold "v" while booting up your Mac. If that does not work hold command+v while you press the on button. This boots up your Mac in verbose mode. Normally if there's a problem with your Mac it will display it in verbose mode. Let us know what message you get when you try booting it up this way.

Try holding down the alt key when you turn on your computer, as this may allow you to select your macintosh HD as the location of your operating system.

This should work.

Mac book 13inch won't boot up

If you have the Operating system disks, put the first one in and then start the computer...have it boot up with the install disk. Then, if you get it started, then re-install your operating system.

The windows files are corrupted or the hard drive has issues, load cd installation disc if available, if that fails have the hardware checked for possible replacement.

How does windows 7 performance on mac pro book i7 processor?

Hi George. What is ios lion 10.7?
ios is what is in iPhones and iPads.
Macs run Mac OS - not the same thing at all.
As for boot camp, you should find that Windows runs just as well as it does on a PC. When a mac is running windows it's a windows PC.
There are many anecdotal reports that windows runs better on a Mac than it does on all the but the most expensive PCs/

I put in the cd to install this program and I only see files and scripts nothing comes up and allows me to install the actual program. I tried it on my pc and it worked but I didn't install it into...

Sounds like you have a Windows exclusive CD. It will not work on Mac OS.
If you have a windows install disk, you can install Windows on your Macbook Pro using Boot Camp via the Boot Camp Assistant located in Applications/Utilities. This will require you to restart and select one desired system to boot up in order to use OS X or Windows.

Alternatively you could run Windows and Mac OS simultaneously with a program such as parallels.
