Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

My washing machine is blacked out even when i swtich on the powear

When I switch on the Power the washing machine is dead, i.e. there is no power going into the machine, I think the main board is faulty- there is no power going into the individual ports, suspect a component in the board is damaged. The thing is the wires for my washing machine got eaten by a rat ? 4 wires in fact, my husband fixed the wire but the machine can only spin and drain out?.after checking the ports the white wire had no power in its port so he bridged the brown port to the white port, the machine was o.k but after one wash cycle it blacked out so he checked again and found that although power is supplied into the board there is no power coming from all the individual ports.

The machine was o.k after he bridged the white to the brown washed & when it was time to rinse it just blacked out
So are you saying that when he bridged the white wire to the brown wire it caused all the ports to be neutral???
i mean if that is the case then even when the bridge is removed why did it still blacked out???

if a transistor/s or resistor/s were shorted in the mother board or motor control board it would cause catastrophic failure. Now i'm not saying a fire or something of the sort but definetly a short of some kind, please post your model number for I can go look it up on net. Thanks

Y refridgerator just shut off! I swtiched the circuit breaker and it's just dead right now

1) Make certain there is power to the unit, 2) Check the power switch in the unit area (a rocker switch), 3) If there is still absolutely no power (no lights, no clicks, no hum, dead) then check the power to the controller located in the top of the refrigerator section. The controller operates all the components, so if it has power but there is no outputs (ie. nothing works) then it is the problem. This is unusual so check items 1 & 2 first. A worst case scenario may require pulling the unit forward to access the house wall receptacle.

My washing machine will not stop filling with water or go into the wash cycle, even when i advance it manually.

Hi this is either a bad pressure switch or the hose going to the pressure switch is damaged or clogged, the pressure switch is located in the conrol panel behind where all the knobs are, the pressure switch hose is attached to it, it needs to be air tight hose if there is a hole or something clogging the hose it will not stop filling, the hose that attaches to it runs from the swtich down to the side of the tub, both parts are fairly inexpensive.

Wash cycle works fine, found a humming nose during the rinse cycle, tub will not drain or spin

Yep had this problem.. It's either the timer on the knob that is faulted or the switch on the lid. My problem was the swtich on the lid. But watch out unplug it first!

Open the lid while unplugged from any power and see if the lid switch is broken in any way. Usually there is just a spring inside that closes off the circuit. Sometimes on used ones .. people will by pass the lid switch so that it still runs with the lid open.

My Washer will work at all. It acts dead

a small run of these actually had an out of balance switch and fuse assembly that cut power to the machine if it went way out of balance ,check and see if yours has one and replace the fuse at first but you may have to replace the entire assembly

Sound like you might have a loose wire or ribbon cable, might even be a loose wire on switch.Be sure to turn breaker off to machine and unplug it before you check them. Also check the motor reset.

Kelvinator Washing Machine has no power

unplug the washer and plug something else you know works in to make sure you have power in the outlet if not

check your circuit breaker box and reset the switch that is not lined up with the others flip it on off on
Now check the washer If you haven't already done this.

Some units have there own fuse in the back , if so it will be labeled.

hope this helps if not get back to me mike
