My cd player wont do anything. Red power light comes on but no power or a power shortage to everything. P.O.S.

I'm having the same problem with my Jensen. It was working fine for years and now all of a sudden it stopped working. The red light is lit but when you press it the radio will not power on. I checked the red and yellow leads in the harness and both are getting power. The fuse in the radio is good as well. With the ignition turned on, when I disconnect and then reconnect the harness the radio will work normally. But once I turn the radio off or turn off the ignition the radio shuts off but once again will not power on. I hit the reset button but it changed nothing.I then tried to fix it by connecting the yellow and red wires, and while that did indeed get the radio to work right again, it also drained my battery down. So now I'm back to disconnecting and reconnecting the harness to listen to music. I'm thinking maybe the contact points in the harness or inside the radio are bad but how do I fix this problem?

Check for power on both the red and yellow wires with the key on. If both have power either the radio needs a reset or the radio is defective..

The door for the cd player wonkt open on a Jensen CD4610

Look for a very tiny hole in front of the drive; use a paper clip poke through that hole, applied a little pressure and push. The tray should pop open.

Just need a pic to see what color wire goes to each of the 20 pins on the back of the deck

Wiring Diagram / Color Codes
1. Power Antenna (dark blue wire) - Connect to power antenna or amplifier.
2. Ground (black wire) - Connect to ground terminal or clean, unpainted part of chassis.
3. Memory/Battery (yellow wire) - Connect to battery or 12 volt power source that is always on. The radio will not work if this wire is not connected.
4. Accessory/Ignition (red wire) - Connect to existing radio wire or radio fuse.
5. Left front speaker - White/Black is negative, White is positive
6. Right front speaker - Gray/Black is negative, Gray is positive
7. Left rear speaker - Green/Black is negative, Green is positive
8. Right rear speaker - Violet/Black is negative, Violet is positive
9. RCA Outputs to Amplifier - Black is front, Gray is rear
10. Auxiliary Input Cable
11. Subwoofer Output
12. Antenna
13. CD Changer

The manual is available here:

The wiring diagram is under the section Wiring.

Cd won't play

The yellow wires on back one has a white cap the other has a red cap those are the input wires you need to buy the cord that goes from a red and white RCA jack to a 3.5mm headphone jack

My cd player wont play my burned cds

this happens all the time, instead of getting CD-Rs, try getting the CD-R Music, they are specially made to be played on CD players, I buy these all the time and they work in every CD player.

By no means is this a solution, only a comment - Internal Amplifier is bad. Check your wiring before installing another unit.
