Hi there,

Try the following.

  1. Take out the battery.
  2. Tap strongly on the casing of camera near the recording head.
  3. Replace the battery problem is because of servo sensor problem in the camera.
Let me know

E06" - carriage mechanism that has failed. and will
not carry the tape to the heads and thus is not passing the sensor that
tells you if the tape is in position and then telling the unit as it
    should there is fault.

if you have done the steps above, and no success.

better take it to the nearest dealer and get it fixed.

this can only be a mechanical problem on the unit. the best thing you can do is send to repair for proper checking and fix.

Jvc gr-d350u. Constant E06 code with either battery or power adapter

if the screen keeps showing e06 device is in safeguard mode """"please remove or reattach the battery""""" If the error continues, please understand that it is a FAULTY BATTERY. This error is very common and results when the battery life has been changed or altered due to time elapsing. There is not a lot that can be done except to request a new battery. I performed more research on this and found that an equivilent may be purchased directly from jvc.com for a fraction of the costs then replacing the entire unit.

GR-DVL320 keep getting E03 error indication. Ejecting and reinsertion of the tape does not seem to be fixing the problem, also says unit in safeguard mode. What do I do to remedy this?

1. The idler gear does not engage with the reel disk well.
2. Though the idler gear and reel disk are engaged with
each other, the tape is not wound because of overload
to the mechanism.
3. No FG pulse is output from the reel sensor.
4. No power is supplied to the reel sensor.
5. Tape transport operation takes place with a cassette
having no tape inside.
6. The tape slackens and no pulse is produced until the
slack is taken up and the tape comes into the normal
