Sounds like a system failure - one of the controller boards may have gone bad. If the unit is still under warranty, contact Toshiba for warranty service. Otherwise you will need to contact one of the authorized service centers or your local TV repair guy to arrange for repair.

If the tv doesn't reset after being unplugged awhile, there's an internal problem, and the unit will have to be serviced. Make sure the cable input isn't loose, and that the cable cord is good. Aside from that, there's not much you can do. Some cities have mobile TV repairmen that will service the unit in your home, and it's much more convenient. Look in your Yellow Pages under TV Repair.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

SOURCE: I have been trying to turn on my Toshiba 55HT1U television, but it will not come on. I get a little green power light but the screen is still black.

Hello, Thomas!
Looks, like there is an issue with inverter or inverters power supply(24v).
first thing to do: poke your set open, get to inverter make sure it has +24v in a main fuse. If so, in most cases: check fuse for continuity. Must have a multimeter to do that. Some LCD panels have 2 inverters: Master and slave. Known for frequent failure. Easy to determine: usually, on board IC chip bursts on failure. Or, if you really lucky: you may see "bloated" capacitors on those boards, as well on your power supply. I'd start with power supply, then check inverter(s). Good luck!
Thanks,
Alex.

Panasonic tv powerlight blinking,tv turning off and then back on, now it won't turn on at all, blinking green light goes red and it shuts off completely

My TV surname off after 5-15 minutes of use. The red light in the front blinks once every 3 seconds continuously. If I hold the power button down on the tv, it will turn on and do the same thing.

No monitor/screen, but turned on. Light signifying the laptop is on - on green.

Try this:

1. Turn off the laptop by holding the power button in for 15 seconds or until the power light goes off.
2. Pull the battery out of the laptop and disconnect the power from it.
3. Hold the power button in for 20 seconds.
4. Plug the laptop back in, and put the batter back in it.
5. Now try to turn the laptop back on.

If this does not work, let me know.

The screen went blank and green light started flashing. Turned off the TV and let it cool. Turned it back on, getting sound but no picture. Red light is on, after about 15 seconds the green light blinks...

Since you say that there is sound but no picture, the first thing I would check would be the status of the lamp. I believe that the lamp has been shattered or the filament is blown. Please verify this and let me know
