I have recently installed treadmill motor brushes but now treadmill is not calibrating, calibration takes start and when calibration comes to check the slow speed it stuck there and keep calibrating it

Hi There, Please check that you have the small feedback connectors snug and proper. Some treads have them on a front or rear roller and some also have a motor feedback. Or - Try to power down and back up and try to run treadmill normally, not in cal mode, and see if the unit responds to your speed selections correctly. During "calibrations" the upper board (usually) is looking for a specific feedback signal, if it cannot be found it usually stops the tread, but in cal mode it may sit there waiting for it's feedback sweet-spot before continuing. What make, year and model of tread?

Treadclimber centering

Dear Sir:
ecalibrate the machine if speed is not registering, belts stop turning or the display readout shows an "err, LS, OS" on the face. Calibrate the TreadClimber by plugging it in. Stand on the foot platforms, or floor mat. Do not stand on the walking belt. Insert the safety key. Press the "start" key when "CAL/PRSS/STRT" shows on the readout. If readout fails to show the "CAL/PRSS/STRT" symbol, turn off machine and turn it back on. Press "ENTER" and then "DOWN SPEED" at the same time until "CAL/PRSS/STRT" shows up on the display. Belts will start and stop during the calibration; do not be alarmed. Do not make any adjustments or interrupt the display of numbers as the unit goes through the calibrations. When the machine is finished calibrating, the readout will display "CAL...PASS" and you can press the "POWER" key to get out of the calibration section.

sincerely. God bless you.

Touch pad seem to be out of calibration - when you touch anywhere on the screen, it highlights about 1/2 inch above where you are pointing - very hard to enter addresses etc.

not sure what tom tom you have but try this (found in a forum)
SAW THIS IN ANOTHER FORUM - RESOLUTION TO SCREEN CALIBRATION ISSUE

So I will give it a try to help sort out a friends TomTom.

Method valid for NavCore versions until 8.051.

A manual method to correct the calibration of the touchscreen input device of any all-in-one TomTom systems consists in creating a file called calib.txt (e.g., with notepad) and saving it in the main directory of the TomTom disk memory (e.g., the SD card; the same directory of the ttsystem file).

calib.txt should include one line with four numbers separated by a space: MaxX MinX MinY MaxY

Notice that the ‘x’ sequence (max, min) is inverted than the ‘y’ sequence (min, max). MaxX > MinX and MinY < MaxY.

For instance, the file can include:
928 118 107 912

Each TomTom device has its own most appropriate sequence.

In order to compile the file with default data, one method could be to perform a TomTom reset (or to eject the SD card), powering on the device and holding down the ON button for a few seconds until a unit status screen appears. The line named “Touchscreen calib. data:” will include four numbers that in sequence represent MinX MaxX MinY MaxY; these numbers can be used to fill the configuration line of calib.txt remembering to swap the first two ones. For example, if the unit status screen returns 118 928 107 912, calib.txt has to be saved with 928 118 107 912.

Tuning can then be done by adjusting these numbers until the touchscreen is calibrated. Distortions like screen rotation, trapezium and rhombus correction cannot be achieved with this method even if tuning these parameters can provide an acceptable touchscreen management even in presence of distortions; the best screen to tune the calibration is exploiting the soft keyboard of the NavCore application.

For instance, in my old TomTom GO Classic device I realized that, after activating the NavCore soft keyboard, when moving vertically (Y axis) the cursor appeared calibrated, while the horizontal movements (X axis) prevented to manage the left and right key columns (especially in the left bottom corner positions). So, I left the last two digits unaltered and, after some tests, I successfully used the following values: 805 200 107 912.

Method valid for NavCore versions post 8.051.

For NavCore versions 8.2x and 8.3x, use the same method as mentioned above, with these small differences:
the file should be named cal.txt (and not calib.txt) and should again be positioned in the main directory of the SD (or HD) drive of the TomTom system (e.g., the same directory where ttsystem can be found). Besides, the four numbers included in the file should have a different sequence than what previously described for versions until 8.51; cal.txt shall include the following sequence: MaxX MinX MaxY MinY (notice that also MaxY precedes MinY).

For instance, cal.txt could include the following four digits: 928 118 912 107

Again, these numbers are specific of each TomTom single unit.

E.g., my TomTom GO Classic correctly runs 840 245 912 107.

Garmin Nuvi 350 Calibration Issue

Turn the unit off. Press and hold down the power button and keep holding it. You will see the screen light up and it will say "pre-boot mode". Keep holding down the power key. It will then say "booting". Keep holding the power button down. You'll then come to the calibation screen. Select the dots and you'll be back in business.

Garmin c330

Try to calibrate the touch screen. Push and hold the power button on until you see a white dot on the screen. This is the calibration mode. Touch the dot and another dot will apppear, now touch this dot again, keep doing this until the unit reboot.

If you touch the 1st dot and nothing happens then the digitizer on the LCD is dead. If the unit is still under warranty, get a RMA and return it to Garmin.
