I have a Dell inspiron 1525. I have pluged the Logitech X-240 speakers into the mic jack on the front of the computer. No sound comes out of the logitech speakers. I don't seem to have any other jacks except 2 headphones and one mic. A Sigmatel audio control panel pops up when I plug the line in. It wants me to select whether I've just plugged in a 'line in', 'mic' or 'rear speakers'. I've tried all.
There doesn't seem to be any intallation process, nor does the instructions have any- but it does work with my ipod! Help!
i've got the same problem. just bought some new speakers for my inspiron 1525, and plugging them into the headphone point (where i had my others plugged into), it doesn't work. have used the speakers on another laptop so i know that it's not the speakers which are at fault here. when i plug it into the headphone/speaker port the music just keeps playing out of my laptop rather than through them, and when i plug the speakers into another one of the two other ports it comes up with that sigmatel audio popup. it's driving me mad! help!
speakers are creative inspire t10 (had to select a different one because this website was adamant these speakers didn't exist)
