Just got my Grandson a TV that he can play his XBox that his Uncle bought him from a friend. He has been playing it on my Visio Panel TV on the AV2 setting...NO PROBLEMS...when I tried to hook it to ththe Synphonic TV, I do not know what I should be doing. Looked for settings on the TV and it says GAME MODE ON the ON is highlighted Red, rest of printing on screen is Green. Got him this TV just for his XBox so that the rest of us can watch TV again!! Synphonic has cable attachments (Audio & Video) on the front of the set. Please help, I an not Game console literate by any means, this 5 year old looks at me totally in disbelief that I don't know what to do and he just got all of this electronic entertainment and just wants to play
The only way to turn i to the input is by pushing the button "input" or "game" on your remote. "input 1" is the back connectors and "input 2" is the front connectors. "GAME" is also the front connectors but it turns that "game mode" on that is in the picture settings. suggest you read the manual that came with the tv too. it explains this all in there with pics and stuff. if you lost the manual here is a link to it on there website. http://www.symphonic.us/pdf/om/ST420FF.pdf

The xbox live gold membership is paid for when you buy it. It never runs out until you have used all of the time you bought. Like say you bought a 12 month subscription it will last you the whole year until the day you bought the last one and activated it. Only time you use money is when you want to buy something from xbox live. All you need is the internet wifi or direct cable works. You can actually use your xbox live account on any xbox. Say if his friend has an xbox and has xbox live he can then use his account on his friends xbox to play online with his friend. You dont have to worry though every time he goes to an xbox he has to recover his xbox live account info so no one else can use it while he is using it. There is also a few new updates to keep his account safe as well when he does want to do something like that. also you can go into family settings and make it so he cant buy anything with out a pass code even put a timer on it with a pass code to limit time of play. So inclosing no you dont have to buy GB it just uses your internet connection and it does cover the cost of play for as long as you bought the subscription. Hope this helps :)
Check to see if the issue is only while playing a certain game or if it is with all of your games, check to see if there is a brightness setting in the games you play, there are in most games. If it is unnaturally bright in every game you play and only happens while playing xbox and not while watching tv, there may be an issue with your video cables, try using a friends video cables if any of your friends have the same console to see if that fixes the problem, if so, you may need to replace your video cables.
I can connect using mifi2200 and play as long as I want. However I do receive the message about NAT. Says mine is set to moderate. I have no idea how to change it to Open. I did have a regular usb modem and was connecting using it. My main problem is I cannot party up with friends on xbox live because my NAT is not OPEN. But for an answer just set up and internet connection sharing through your mifi and you will be able to connect to xbox live.
One red light means either the hard drive isn't connected properly, or the video cable isn't connected properly, or is damaged.
Check the hard drive, and the video connection to ensure they're in there tight.
When i try to play halo3 with my friends i get the same problem. I cant connect to them and sometimes i also cant hear some people talk. Some problems might be that your NAT is set to STRICT or MODERATE you will want it to be open to play with your friends. I dont really have an answer but you will need to get in your apartments router to change the settings to get the NAT to become open. If you type in on the google search bar: Cant connect to friends on xbox live there will be some answers for this problem.
The optical connection on the TV is most likely an input, not an output. You need to connect the Xbox to the receiver, then the TV. If the receiver does not have a HDMI input, use another audio or digital out from the Xbox to the receiver.
