Question about Sanyo PLC XU35 Multimedia Projector

2 Answers

Sanyo plc-xu35 When I power up the countdown begins and the screen through this process looks good. With 4 seconds or so left in the warm-up process the projector goes through its shutdown mode. What gives? Prior to pressing power the read light is on and the lamp light is on. There is no evidence that the lamp needs replacing. Steps I have taken: I have uplugged the unit. I have removed the current lamp and put it back in. And I have cussed at it (that really didn't work) Thanks.

Re: sanyo plc-xu35

I have a Sanyo XU35. Mine was starting up and showed a picture for about 15 - 30 seconds then shutting down. My lamp warning light was not coming on. When I put it in for repairs it turned out to be the lamp that needed replacing. The technician said it is not uncomman for the lamp to be gone and the lamp warning light not to come on. I got my lamp on e-bay from ping_ngo for a great price.

Sounds like a simple problem to fix but don't ask here unless you plan on signing up...take your projector to a "real" professional who'll actually speak to you.

We are having one sanyo plc xu 78 projector.when it began to switch it on the count down screen will displays when the count down timing is coming to 0 then its directly going to stand by mode. its not...

The countdown shows while the unit is going through its internal circuit testing. Usually if a problem is found, there will be indications with the standby lights and lamp/temp lights. Are there any other indications here or just the unit going into standby?

Sanyo PLC-XF46N projector shuts down before powering up completely

The Fix Ya rep suggested that I try the "Reset" button located next to the Audio out on the side of the projector; this solution proved to be the fix I needed. I was able to get the lamps to warm up and get into the menu to cut back the bulbs/power consumption on start-up, allowing the projector to function for a problem-free 4 hour period Unfortunately, I had the same issue this morning, but the same fix worked again.
