Hi... have some idea on it... did you check the proper color coding of your rj45? if the color codes are correct then the problem is in your built in lan.. try to use an external LAN card... then try it back.. thank you...

M3N78-VM LAN PORT& PCI PROBLEM

1) How do you know that PCI slot is not working? Tried another PCI expansion card in it? Perhaps another LAN adapter card?
(Ethernet Card)

A LAN adapter card will go bad before a PCI slot will.

2) PCI expansion slot is bad? No other PCI slot to use?
Then here is a suggestion,

Plug it into any available USB port on the computer.
It is a GigaByte Ethernet solution, also. (10/100/1000)

I cant connect laptop with ethernet cable

I assume the LAN adapter driver is installed and is working properly.
The LAN cable maybe faulty.
If the LAN cable is colored red then it is a crossover LAN cable and this is a special LAN cable for connecting two computers together without a network hub or router.
Try a another LAN cable..

Lan cable not connected

Try re-connecting the LAN cable to your computer and the model/router/
If this does not work the try a different LAN cable - the cable could be faulty.

My dell lan card is not working,i cannot connect to internet.

Either the LAN card is faulty or the LAN driver is not installed and/or not configured properly or the LAN cable is faulty.
Check Device Manager to see if the LAN driver is installed, working and enabled. If not then re-install the LAN card driver.
If the LAN driver won't install or detect the LAN card then it maybe faulty and needs to be replaced.
Try a different LAN cable.
Is all the LEDs on in the modem?
Try rebooting the modem (power it off for 30 secs and power it up again).

when you give power to computer press F2 or F1 or "del" key then enter in bios .
Then go to advanced configuration then check your lan port is disable? if it then enable it.

Ethernet not work

Check in the Device manager to see if all the devices are enable and working.
The one with a yellow ? against that device requires a driver installation.
Is the LAN device OK?
How do you intend to setup your LAN, is it for Internet access or a home network?
I need more information on your problem, together with error messages.
