Have you attempted to power-cycle the printer.

Leave the printer power source disconnected for 5-10 minutes. This may solve the issue.

While power-cycling is usually the answer for most Ink Jet printers.

You may have to manually stop and start the spooler service.

You may have to uninstall the print spooler first and then uninstall and reinstall the drivers.

I have had success with all three choices in the field.

Sounds like a driver problem. I would try disconnecting the printer from your computer and power cycling it (unplug it for a few minutes). While it's unplug uninstall and then reinstall the print driver. If that does work email me.

MESSAGE SAYS THE PAGE IS TOO COMPLICATED TO PRINT

Bonnie,

Usually this means exactly what it says. The page is too busy because of heavy graphic data.

There are a couple of things you can try, first, make sure that the document does not contain images that overlay other images this will reduce the graphic load on the page.

Second, add more RAM to the printer.

What kind of a document are you sending to the printer? What application are you using to create the document?

Can you do a "Print to File" off of the printer driver's screen and send the document to me at don.farr@verizon.net I'll be happy to run some diagnostic tools I have and see if I can get it to print.

Can't print Word 97 documents. Status says

First check the printer is actually ON - (lights etc) Then see if the printer works from other applications (Excel etc) If not, unplug the printer and plug it back in again. Check your ink tanks (though you should get a message if that is the problem).

If you can print from a different app, it is not the printer that is the problem. Check the printer settings within Word. Still nothing? Go to the control panel, select printers and check that the correct printer is selected. If so, you may have corrupted the driver - get onto driver.com (or any other) put in the model details, download./install the new driver.

go into the printer properties, if you are using a print server then this must be done on the server, not the workstations, go to the "configuration" tab and tell the driver what options you have installed then clickk apply.
