Wireless connection problems

I have a Dell Latitude D520 and cannot connect to my wireless broad band. When choosing the wireless net work it asks me to make sure the wireless switch on my computer is on. Where is the switch as I cannot find it?

Make sure you laptop HAS the WiFi card installed, because it is an option on this model.

Which wireless adapter do you have? This link will take you to a guide for enabling/disabling the adapter if is is a Dell device. Intel will be similar. There is no on/off switch.

Let me know if I can help more.

The model my company uses also has a physical switch, unfortunately the person in the field with the laptop is having the same problem, and I can't remember where the switch is to tell them.

First go into your device manager and make sure that your wireless card is being recognized in there. If it is then we need to make sure the two wires are conected to the card. You can do that by going inside of the door on the bottom of the laptop which can be located here:

http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/latd520/en/sm_en/cards.htm#wp1015787

Make sure the white and black wire are conncted firmly. They should snap into place if they are loose.

Once you verify that your wireless card is connected properly then you can go thru these directions to make sure you can connect to your wireless network:

How do I turn on the bluetooth on my Dell Latitude D520 Laptop?

Did you purchase a bluetooth module when you originally configured thecomputer? Have you added a bluetooth module since receiving thecomputer?

If you answered no to both of those questions, you can't enablebluetooth. It requires a separate radio, and if that radio isn'tpresent in the computer, it will need to be added in order to enablebluetooth connectivity.

you can download the link below for solution

Dns failed

there's no problem with your broadband.. try to connect again to your wireless connection.. then if its already connected, go to menu > browser > settings > browser profiles then choose the name of your connection..
after choosing it, restart your mobile then try to browse on the net.. It usually happens to my phone mostly when i try to change connection (browser profiles) or when you get away for a long hours from your wifi range.. hope this may help..
