Question about Digital Cameras

1 Answer

Fuji finpix 6500fd

When I take pictures outside they all turn out totally white. Indoors the shots turn out fine. I've tried every combination of settings that I can think of all to no avail. It's a brand new camera.

I have a canon powershot 1300 IS. When I use the self timer indoors the pictures come out blurred. It works great for outside shots.

Most of this type of cameras have this problem.
It's because of the quality of the sensor. Outside where the light is good, the pictures are fine, but indoor the quality reduces.

The light and the sensor are the secret.

Outside pictures turn white

Check the white balance. This should be under menu. When you are outside in sunlight, change is to the sun icon, ect.
Are the exposures very long? If they are, they need to be shorter in high light, and longer in lowlight situations.

Outside shots just come out white

Or do you mean a white mare? Check your manual to make sure that a setting has not been over looked. It seems as if the light metering has gone askew You should also check that you are not covering a 'window' with a finger when taking shots- thus blocking the light thus making it read low light. If all this is to no avail - check out the Fuji technical help team. But give much more detail than you have given us here
