Its not worth it, a socket 7 mobo takes the original pentium, and they come in varying voltages which has to be adjusted by jumpers. the jumper settings for voltage and cpu mhz will tell you what cpus would be compatible. the ram is doing to be harder to find, it takes old style dram, which is totally obsolete, but can be found as well as a processor on ebay, but its not worth doing.

My motherboard have power but no display on display on monitor

Hi roystonfer33 ,

make sure the cable connected to your Monitor is securely connected and firmly in place. make sure the monitor is plugged into the power socket properly. if there is still no display, then maybe trying another cable for the display.

I need to know what is this number of the amd processors like this HDX925WFGMBOX. if my motherboard dont say that number of that proccesor is saying that it doesn't support it?

Not neccessarily. The HDX####### number is the serial number of the processor. But as long as the cpu-socket types are the same on the cpu and motherboard, it should be compatible for the most part. Some cpu/motherboard combos require a BIOS update on the motherboard but thats probably not the issue here. AMD Phenom II's like yours are usually socket AM3, so just make sure that your motherboard is also a socket AM3 and you should be okay.

Visit your motherboard vendors website and look up the model number of your board. It should tell you what socket compatibility it has. Or you could even go to newegg.com and look up both the cpu and the motherboard to see if they match up.

Hi,

Sorry but that motherboard does not support dual core processors. The socket type is 478 which is Pentimum 4 and will support anything up to a 3.2 GHz processor.

Does the Motherboard Biostar G31-M7 TE work with Pentium 4

Hello there a_guerrero_d.

Here's your GEEK-steer ...

Just so I'm clear, here's what I'm hearing in your question:
  • You already possess an "Intel Pentium 4 proccesor (socket 775)" CPU chip.
  • You are shopping for a motherboard, and have desire to marry that chip with a "Biostar G31-M7 TE" motherboard (MB).
  • That is, until a "dealer" told you "That M/B don't work with these proccesor".
If this is accurate, I believe the one operative word out of all the many above, is "DEALER". My guess is this dealer is "dealing", and either:
  • doesn't want to sell only the MB without whatever chip he currently has installed in it.
  • wants to get you to give up on YOUR chip in order to get one from him,
  • or is honestly mistaken ... because unless he knows something that you, I, and the MB manufacturer are not privy to, he's plainly wrong.
Per the MB's own spec-sheet, the "Biostar G31-M7 TE socket 775 mATX motherboard features an Intel G31 / Intel ICH7 chipset with support for socket 775 ... Pentium 4 Processor"s. I personally would have no hesitation pairing that chip with this MB.

In conclusion, the answer your final question: "Who has the reason". I believe it's clear that it's the "dealer" who has reason ... to not provide you with accurate advice!

Good luck, and thanks in advance for posting back ...
  • to let me (and others) know how things worked out,
  • if you have any further questions,
  • to provide clarification or feedback.

Need manual for l-nc51m motherboard

You did not mention which ThinkCentre model you are using, but I know that the Lenovo 3000 J115 is using this motherboard. Look at the hardware manual from Lenovo (link) and see if that is what you are looking for.

You can also try to locate it yourself (link)

If this is not the right one for you, just come back here and leave a comment with more details about your computer - I'm happy to help.
