Question about Maytag Neptune MDE6700A Electric Dryer
I need to switch cords from my old dryer to the new one. The newer one was not confusing in it's 4 cord setup...but pulling the back off of my Maytag, the 3 cords look like they hook up just the opposite. In addition, I think what may be the hot cord has a black wire hooking up to the hot main wire. I assume that is hot but it is an opposite hookup of the newer model. The left wire has a light blue wire going to it. I am confused on this one. Can you assist me...thanks. Steve
See this link and read the article carefully - if your dryer already has a 4 wire cord, it should be replaced with same type.
