Emerson Dora The Explorer DVD Player

Dora Tv & Dvd (by 3 users)

posted by jenniferrj on Sep 12, 2007

I bought the Dora tv 2 years ago and the Dvd player a year ago. I have not been able to hook the two up to work, I kept it because my baby wanted it so bad. I recently took the dvd player back to Walmart thinking it might just be bad, got another one and still would not work with tv. I went to Walmart and got another dvd player that was not Dora and still does not work. So I have come to the conclusion it was not the dvd player. I am confused here to why it is so hard to hook these products up and they are both dora products. If there is any help out there, please help me. I feel I have been cheated on these items that do not work together and the tv works with no other dvd players either.

I'm also having trouble connecting the Dora TV to the DVD player. I've tried connecting the cords to the front and the back. I would try it on my other TV, but's old and does hook up to a DVD player.

How are you connecting the two? A/V input jacks? Are you selecting that input (line 1, line 2, etc...)?

could be that the TV A/V jacks are bad might try hooking up the DVD player to another TV that you know works if it does then you have your problem its the AV jacks try looking for an alternate connection if it has a coaxiel connection in the back try hooking up an RF Modulator and going through it that way otherwise just get a new 13 inch TV tape over the screen spraypaint it red and put dora stickers on it and there ya go, better yet do a 21 inch TV and your kid has the biggest dora TV on the block! haha

I had the same problem, until someone told me to push the AV-IN button on the Dora TV remote. Since then, there has been no trouble.
