Try bending the edge of the paper (work with the natural bow of the paper) so the effect is a "U" shape as the paper sits in the tray. (Similar to bending the edge of papers that are going into a feeder for copying or scanning)

How to change paper

This product uses 2 1/4in (57/58mm) wide standard thermal paper. Use the feed keys only when changing the paper. Do not pull the paper manually.

1. If prompted during use, or when setting up the printer for the first time, open the printer compartment by lifting up on the tabs located toward the back of the register. This will expose the printers.
2. Depending on each sides needs, use the release buttons to open the paper wells and release the print rollers.
3. Place the paper rolls into the paper well so it feeds from the bottom of the roll towards the front of the cash register (not the back). Pull the paper up and past the print heads towards the front of the cash register.
4. Once done, close the printer arms and use the feed keys to advance the paper.
5. To attach the journal roll to the back of the winding wheel, remove the wheel from the comparment. Put a small fold in the end of the journal roll and feed it under and around the tabs located on the wheel. Spin the wheel manually to take up paper slack.
6. Once the paper is attached, place the wheel into the holder in the back of the printer compartment. The part of the winding wheel with two discs should be on the right side.

Have verifone 801 printer - prints game and fish licenses - how do I change the printer ribbon

NOTE: The inside cover of the printer has medialoading instructions for vendors.
  1. Open the lid of the printer by pressing in on the two (2) Blue buttons on both sides of the printer, and lift upward.
  2. Press down on the Green Printhead Latch, and raise the Printhead Carrier assembly to a vertical and locked position.
  3. Remove the Ink Ribbons (Supply and Take-up Hubs/Spindles) from the Printhead Carrier by pushing in, and lifting up.
  4. Slide both ribbons off the hubs, and discard them into the trash.
  5. Slide an empty core onto the take-up hub. (The attached new roll of ribbon includes a new supply hub.)
  6. Unroll a 1-foot length of ribbon. (The foiled side will need to be facing the Printhead and rollers.)
  7. Insert the supply hub/ribbon into the rear spring-loaded spindle.
  8. Starting from the back of the Printhead Carrier, thread the take-up hub/core in between the black guide bar and the two (2) aluminum rollers.
  9. Continue past the Printhead, and over the 3rd aluminum roller.
  10. Insert the take-up hub into the spring-loaded spindle 'star' hole.
  11. Position the license paper (media) over the rubber roller to the edge of the opening with one hand.
  12. With your other hand, lower the Printhead Carrier to its locked position.
  13. Close the printer lid.

Clear a paper jam on 3330

When you say "release it from around the roller", do you mean that the page looks like it is wrapped around the roller? If so then the fuser will possibly need replaced. Depending on how skilled you are you could try removing the fuser and disassembling it to remove the paper but it may not be possible. if you decide to try be careful not to tear the "roller". It is actually a fixing film, a thin mylar type product with a nonstick surface. It is easy to damage it and then you would have to replace the fuser for sure.

Printer header path type 1, 2, and 4 prolem request for feeding back

If the media does not feed into the in-feed slot in the media cabinet, try the following:
  • Make sure both roller levers are lowered to open the in-feed slot.
  • Trim the leading edge of the paper so it does not get caught in the slot.
  • Insert the media evenly to avoid angles. Do not insert one corner and then the other.
NOTE: A beep means that the printer has detected the media in the in-feed slot. The printer will only beep once in a load cycle, if media is removed and reloaded the printer may not beep again if the load process is not re-started through the front panel.
Media does not advance If the media does not advance far enough into the in-feed channel in the media cabinet, the paper is slipping and the rollers do not grip the media. Try the following:
  • The pre-tension might be applied incorrectly. Always apply pre-tension by turning the star screw on the left side of the spindle. Never apply tension by turning the media roll or the spindle disks.
  • Clean the rollers using the cleaning procedure.
  • If the media being used is heavy coated, try changing the media.
Media jam in the in-feed channel If there is a media jam in the in-feed channel, try the following:
  • Turn the multi-roll feeder off using the power isolator switch on the connector panel at the back.
  • Open the media cabinet doors and lower the roller lever on both sides.
  • Turn the spindle to pull the media out of the in-feed channel and to collect it back on to the roll.
  • If the media is blocked, place the spindle in the park position for better access to the in-feed channel, and then pull the media edges in a downwards direction on both sides.
  • If the media cannot be reached because the roll has finished and it has not been ejected from the front of the printer, open the rear cover and try to remove the media from the motion control assembly.
NOTE: Do not insert media with crumpled or damaged edges, trim the media first.
  • Make sure the leading edge is trimmed straight.
  • Make sure there is even tension across the width of the media.
  • Make sure media is aligned (the same amount of media is fed across the width).
  • Apply pre-tension the media.
When the printer is going to be unattended for a long period of time, it is a good idea to load and unload each roll using the LOAD/UNLOAD commands from the front panel (if the media loading procedure was not completed when prompted by the printer). This will ensure that each roll of media loaded is correctly aligned and that the printer is capable of loading/unloading each roll when requested by the print jobs in the queue.
Media misaligned When a "Misaligned?? message is displayed, the printer unloads the media. Press ENTER to continue and the printer will display the "Ready for paper?? status message. Do the following:
  • Check for even tension across the width of the media. If there is less tension on one side than the other, then the media is not straight in the in-feed slot.
  • There is a hole on the right side of the in-feed slot. Make sure the edge of the media is aligned with the left side of this hole.
  • Lower the roller levers on both sides and adjust the media so that tension is even across the whole width. Turn the spindle disk quickly two or three times away from you and then two or three times in the opposite direction. This will help to create an even tension.
  • Lift the roller levers on both sides and try to load the media again.
If this does not solve the problem, remove the media from the in-feed slot and repeat the loading procedure. Make sure the roll is against the right hand spindle disk (fully inside the roll core), and do the same for the left hand spindle disk. The printer verifies correct alignment using the blue line on the right hand side of the printing area as a reference. Media does not unload correctly If the media does not fully unload from the in-feed channel in the media cabinet, check the following:
  • Maybe there is not enough pre-tension. Always apply pre-tension by turning the star screw on the left side of the spindle three or four times (or more if the spindle is on a low retainer bracket). Never apply tension by turning the media roll or the spindle disks.
  • The spring applying pressure on the retainer bracket is loose and the spindle is slipping in the retainer bracket. Turn the multi-roll feeder off and turn the retainer bracket screw one turn in a clockwise direction.
Partial or blank prints If the print is partial or blank, check the following:
  • Check the multi-roll configuration in the printer driver: Check that the Has Multi-Roll Feeder check box is selected.
  • Check default roll configuration: Check if a roll is installed for the roll configured as default. If a roll is not selected from the printer driver, the printer will try to print to the default roll, and if no identical roll is available, it will not print the job.
  • Check Productivity mode settings: If the mode is set to normal and the roll has finished, the job cannot be printed.
  • Check cable connection: Check that the printer and any network cables are securely connected to the printer. Make sure the parallel cable is connected between the multi-roll feeder and the printer and ensure that it is also firmly connected between the computer and the multi-roll feeder.
  • Check media configuration: Make sure the media rolls are configured correctly.
  • Check document file: When printing files that are generated with versions of printer drivers for printers without multi-roll feeders, the header section of some file formats already contains information on the media. In these files, roll or sheet information corresponds to roll 1 in the multi-roll feeder. These files will print to the Default Roll. HP advises that the top roll (roll 1) is used as the default.

Printer

Hi,

To fix this kind of error, remove the ink cartridge and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it.Check if anything comes out.If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of card stock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there. Open up the printer and clean the insides with a soft cloth and a brush. That should remove all the bits of paper inside. The teeth on the roller sides may have some dirt stuck on them which does not allow the rollers to roll freely and hence is as bad as paper jam. The idea is that the rollers do not roll whether because of paper or some dirt on the roller teeth. They have to be cleaned.

Thank you !!

How to use the key to unlock the spindles to replace toilet paper

On the B-2740...located at the end of each spindle (roller) there is a small hole where you insert a special key (bobkey) or a bobbie pin and depress the locking mechanism. This will release the spindles.

It says cartride problems the cartridges are in but it wnt work

Hi,
  1. Disconnect any USB cables attached to the printer and remove any memory cards from drive bay.

  2. Restart the computer.

  3. Remove any paper from the paper tray.

  4. Unlock the ink cartridge locking clips.

  5. Remove all printer ink cartridges.

  6. Lock down the ink cartridge locking clips.

  7. Close the main printer door.

  8. Turn off the printer using the power button and wait for the printer to
shut down before proceeding to step 9.

  9. Unplug the power from the back of the printer.

  10. Unplug the power adapter from the wall outlet.

  11. Remove the rear access door.

  12. Locate the clutch inside the printer.
    hp_photo_smartjpg.jpg
The clutch is located in the same place as pictured above in Figure 1, however, you must access it from the left, just above the paper output tray.
  13. Press the clutch firmly towards the back of the printer, while rolling the wheels in the back of the printer upward two full rotations.

  14. Release the clutch and roll the wheels up two more rotations.

  15. Locate and then roll the internal rollers in an upward direction until a clicking sound is heard.

  16. Reinstall and lock the rear access door.

  17. Connect the power adapter to a wall outlet.

  18. Reconnect the power cable to the printer.

  19. Turn the printer on.

  20. Re-insert the paper into the input tray.

  21. Wait for the appropriate missing cartridge error to verify that the printer recognizes this error.

  22. Re-insert one ink cartridge only, to minimize confusion in case one of the cartridges is defective, and print an internal test page.

  23. If no errors are found, insert the other ink cartridge(s) and ensure that they are functioning by performing internal test pages or calibration pages. If an error occurs due to a defective cartridge, perform the appropriate steps for Resolving Ink Cartridge Rejections.

  24. After returning to the main Windows screen, reconnect the USB cable to the computer then to the printer.

  25. Test for printer functionality.

Hope This Helps!!!  Please Don't Forget to Rate my Response!!! Thanks!!!

241.10 paper jam

Um I don't know what the other guy is saying since your paper jam has nothing to do with where he is telling to look...

From the service manual:

Error 241 subcode 10:
Page was not properly picked from tray 1.

Possible Causes:
Failure to feed possible causes include:
• Edge locking
• Worn or contaminated pick tires
• Overfilling of tray past the fill line.

Action:

Fan media.
Turn media over.
Reduce amount of media loaded in tray 1.
Replace pick tires.*

To replace pick tires:

Integrated tray autocompensator pick roll assembly removal

1. Remove the integrated tray, and look underneath the printer for the autocompensator arm. Pull the arm
down.

ea54de4.jpg

2. Press on the end of the tab (A) and pull the pick roll off the arm. Repeat this step for the pick roll on the other side. Next, gently release the autocompensator arm. Discard the used pick rolls.

d606c52.jpg

Installation
1. Remove the new pick rolls from their packaging.
2. Pull the autocompensator arm down. Locate the recessed area on the pick roll, and align it with the tab on the arm. There are two arrows on each pick roll. Make sure the bottom arrow faces you as you align the recessed area with the tab.

3. Push the pick roll onto the arm with the tab aligned. Repeat this step on the other side to install the other pick roll.

4. Gently release the autocompensator arm. Insert, integrated tray.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate this solution as fixya.

HP Laserjet 4100 series , paper jam output tray.( on top of the printer ). The roller under the topcover is turning the wrong way. The paper can't get out of the printer, and jams between the upper roller...

Hi F_bulsara,
First thing to try is to flip the paper over in the input tray. There are 2 sides to paper. One side may curl a bit too much due to heat of the fuser and get caught near the output rollers.

Unless the Output Assembly was assembled wrong, it is impossible for the rollers to turn the wrong way. The gear in the fuser drives the output assembly. The top rollers are rolling out.
If the rollers are not rolling, then one of the gears must be broken or missing. The output rolllers might need cleaning.

Next check the fuser unit. Disconnect power to printer and turn printer round. Remove the back output tray and the two small covers (left and right). Undo the 2 screws that hold the fuser in place. Pull the fuser out. Check the gears on side of the fuser. A broken gear in the fuser could cause this problem.

Printer jam upon exit

Check the paper output area ( around the output rollers) for a small piece of paper. You may need to disassemble the output paper assembly, and clean the rollers, or replace the paper output assembly.

In reality, what you have is one part of the printer trying to "push" the paper, while another part of the printer is trying to "pull", resulting in the wrinkle.. The problem may also be with a paper output sensor being stuck, which is why I suggest you check thoroughly for paper scraps in the output assembly.
