Have you done all the windows updates ???
start
programs
windows updates
check for updates
install them all then restart laptop
if this does not correct things
start
right click my computer
go to computer properties
device manager
scroll down to find mouse/touchpad
un install it
restart laptop
windows should then on
start up find new hardware
and install the
touch-pad correctly
and may ask for another restart
if still no good try here

find you make model and operating system as in xp or vista or windows 7
then scroll down and find the
touch-pad driver
download it
install it
restart and keep fingers crossed
