The small yellow plasticpeice that cord connects to has fallen in

If you're comfortable with taking apart electronics you can try a gps repair tutorial that shows you how to replace the power jack yourself, if you can't re-attach the jack it may be necessary to replace the logic board.

your system is charging at all?
these any indication that is power on?
What serie n model is your GPS?
