Question about iRiver T10 MP3 Player

1 Answer

IRiverT10 1gb

I was putting on some songs and it froze up. Tried to disconnect the T10 but nothing would work. I unplugged from my computer and now it won't even turn on. There is no power whatsoever. I have tried new batteries and have also connected it to the computer again with the usb cable, with and without a battery. Is this thing just plain fried? Thanks, hope you can help. Kevin

Frozen, Can't Access Files in Neeon, not charging either.

first thing first, there are afew things that we had in common; we owned neeon and we both had windows vista.

why vista?

as sophisticated it may seems, vista had so many trouble with the product. I believe that when you try to format the product with vista, it all goes well. everything vanished, the songs, folders, even viruses gone as if it were a new born son. when it all seemed nothing happen, you copy a song on neeon, you unplug it and turn neeon on. voila! no music appeared!

actually, the problem lies with vista itself. the solution is simple actually, no downloading required. while vista can't get the job done, you still had it predecessor, the marvelous windows xp!

just format the product again on your xp. vista can only transfer songs and organize the folders.

old stuff works well with all version of neeon.

believe me, if i had not discover this sooner, i would had trashed my 5 GB mp3.

Won't turn on at all

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

I disconnected my iriver when the computer froze, now it doesn't respond at all.

try taking out the battery and re-installing it. or try connecting to PC without a battery in it.

Frozen on Refresh Database

Take out the four screws on the back and pop out the battery then put it back on. Make sure you synced the songs properly. Add to the problem how you added your songs and I might be able to help.
Good Luck

Iriver T10 will not allow me to add songs

The updater that I could find directly via iRiver support did not work, but based on one of the other tips, I googled for the Version updater ([MTP] iriver Firmware Updater for MTP devices).

I recommend that you try the "normal" updater from the website (maybe yours is not an MTP version), and if that can't recognize your player, try the updater from the link above.

Note: The updater seemed to hang at 50% for over 5 minutes... I gave up and unplugged it. Then it asked me if I wanted to upgrade the firmware. "OK," I said. It took a few minutes. The screen went blank. I put in a fresh battery. Turned it on. It works. I was able to use Media player 11 to synch some songs to it.

BTW: It did blow away all the songs on the device, even though I chose "update" instead of "recover".
