- The same camera is sitting here next to me I got this 2008 also, few months before christmas.

So do you get the white Sanyo text on the blue background? Turn it on and press the menu button then press the flash button or right two times to get into setup, from setup select Sys. Reset, press SET press down or the timer/delete button to select Execute. And press Set to reset the camera.

Are you able to do this reset?

- Do you have warranty on it? I would suggest to contact sanyo for your country and see if they will repair it for you.
