Question about Frigidaire FRS26H5AS Side by Side Refrigerator
The ice-maker dispenser keeps switching to crush ice on it's own. Every time I put it on cube and clean up the bin it works for a few days and then starts to crush without being switched to crush.
There is a long rod on the right side of the ice dispensing bucket.
This rod goes through a hole in the back wall of the freezer where a solenoid should pull up on the rod allowing the ice cubes to dispense without being crushed.
If this solenoid goes bad or ice forms around the plunger, it cannot pull up on the rod.
Check out that solenoid and the rod assembly.
