Question about Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 3000 Keyboard/Mouse

1 Answer

Logitech Keyboard My Keyboard will not connect. I have tried everything that I can think of. Is there any type of warranty on these things. My Logitech wireless mouse won't connect. When I connect it by pressing the Connect button, the key board loses it's connection. After I press the keyboard connect button, the keyboard connects but the mouse loses it's connection. So it seems that only one can connect at a time. Any help please?

It was the batteries. They must have been "low". Thanks

Yes this product has a 5 year logitec warranty. Your problem may happen if the receiver is not connected directly to your computer, connect it to one of the ports in the back or on the front of the computer, don't use a hub or any usb extender extension cords. Make sure your batteries aren't low First follow this page to connect the keyboard and the mouse http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=9643 Please follow this page to connect the keyboard securely to the computer, http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=9661 You have the 5 year warranty in this set, you can get warranty repairs if we are unable to solve this issue. We could look into this over remote support and attempt to sort it out with the setpoint (keyboard+mouse configuration) program. You can email me directly about this problem at For warranty information please read this page http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=3219&WT.mc_id=usym_/warranty_global&strf=Universal_Symlink

I have the logitech keyboard and the sound will not work

I think you have a multimedia keyboard and you hear nothing when you try to use it or your keyboard is not working.Well if you remove the keyboard do you hear anything from the speakers? You might want to check the volume levels, make sure nothing is muted. The device you are trying to play make sure the levels are turned up.
Good luck

go to logitech support, download setpoint software and follow instructions on setting secure connection. i just did it with mine and keyboard got fixed. your symptoms should be that the qwerty keys dont work but the multimedia, clock and function keys are working. the setpoint software will take care of that.

Spare part for Logitech MX 5500

no spare parts from logitech. you may have to try craigslist or ebay. logitech may take as a warranty replacement but you will have to send back the keyboard and so get a spare keyboard and mouse if that is the route you plan to go.

Logitech MX5000

As far as I remember, Logitech has 5 years warranty on this particular desktop set. Call the support in your country and ask! (or read on the box if you still got it, but you better put all the screws back in first :-)

PS: Did you check that the ribbon cable to the display was firmly inserted in the corrosponding scoket on the cuircuit board inside?. There is also a small clamp that slides and insuers connection.

How to make logitech keyboard & mouse work??

Hi there: I was also facing the same problem. But when you see on back of the keyboard the instructions are there. or follow these steps.
1. insert new batteries both in keyboard and mouse. 2. decide what device you want to connect 1st (Lets connect Keyboard first) 3. Pres and Hold the connect button for both key board and receiver for about 5 secs. 4. don't press any key on key board till 10 secs (During this time it trying to connect with receiver) 5. Check the key board connectivity if it works then take it away or put it behind some barrier so that when you are connecting the mouse it don't interrupt. 6. now for the mouse do the same process as you have connected the keyboard.(step 3 & 4) 7. now check both key board and mouse they will work fine. Thanks

The green light on the keyboard starts blinking.
Press the connect button on the wireless sender then on the bottom of the keyboard. Do it twice if necessary.
The keyboard should do it now.

WIRELESS\BLUETOOTH Check your battery if it is drained. Try replacing them witha new one or charge them if they are rechargables.
