Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

Hi, i've got a (Nu Tech) NU DVDRW DDW-081 DVD recorder on my PC and it used to work fine with recording on all CD and CDR and DVD media i used to use but recently a lot of the media that i used to use no longer seems to be available anymore in any of my local stockists and a lot of the stuff i've used recently either doesn't burn at all or will only burn a certain (and random) number of disks out of a pack. Do you have any idea as to why this might be and what i can do to fix this problem (at the moment i'm using some Memorex DVD+R 16x rewritable disks which 8 out of the last 10 pack i had worked fine and i've just tried burning 3 from a new pack whereas all of them have failed in the burning process with Nero) any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. J.P.Lynott

Hi, most of these value packs will have some disk that are simply flawed in there design and will not pertain to the burner that you are using. The DVD-R will work best with many players. I would also downgrade the speed and disk type to a x8 or x4. this will ensure stability during the finalization process. Another issue may be that the nero software could be becoming unstable due to some corruption issue within the program file folder(base). i would un-install nero then, de frag the main HDD then, reinstall the nero program. this should fix this issue along with downgrading the speed of the disks and rom drive to x8 or x4.

Please rate and god bless:)

What type of disc do you need to record, I bought DVD+RDL but it keeps ejecting

What are you trying to record on.First you need a recorder. You cannot just put a cd or dvd in a player to record. They are play back only. Now what media are you putting in your recorder. If it is a cdr it will not record on dvd. What you said is you are using a dvd+rdl which is a dvd+ media with double layer (meaning 9.4 gig instead of 4.7 data).Any dvd recorder can handle the dl media.Look on the facinfg of the carriage and it will tell tell you the media intened to be used. cdr/cdrw or dvd/dvd-dl.Hope this helps

I need to record some music on a CD and I was wondering what kind of CD I need to get to record music on. Will a CD-R work for this?

If you're using a consumer home CD-R recorder it will require you to use CDR-Music or CDR-Audio blank media. A PC will use any recordable CD.

I need a power supply for a brand new lcd hd tv i purchased from coles and they lost it

A generic power supply from **** Smiths or Tandy will do the same thing. You will need to check the required voltage and current or watts on the back of the TV to ensure you get one that has enough power. They generally wouldn't cost you anymore than about AU$50.

DDW-081 CD\DVD Recorder can't read CD

It is possible for your optical drive to read only DVDs and not CD. This is most likely a fault with your drive and may need a repair or replacement.
