Problem for Shredders

Generic problem for all Shredders

Xerox 24S shedder, does not stop running

The shredder does not have a on off switch. It is suppose to not run whenb set at auto. However this no longer happens (after a paper jam) but I completely cxleaned it out.

What is your suggestion (other than keeping it unplugged the whole time to get the machine to go into sleep (off) state.

try blowing out the paper sensors with some compressed air, it may be some debris around the sensor. If the sensor has a mechanical arm, check to see if it is out of place due to the jam.
