Question about Toshiba TE2100 Notebook

1 Answer

Hi! I have a toshiba TE2100 and last week when i was using it, it just went off totally. I tried powering it on again but even after pressing the power button for like 5 secs, nothing happened. I plugged the charger to a power outlet but i did not power up after pressing the power button. What has been happening is that the LED labelled battery just keeps on blinking and the LED labelled power does not. What could the problem be?

Try switching on again after leaving the computer connected to the power for a few hours. Perhaps the battery has drained too much.

TE2100 ASKING ME PASSWORD AT POWER ON

If your notebook asking you a password while you turn it on, probably someone is set your basic input output system(bios) configured to prompt for a password. There are two ways to clear your systems password 1. is you have to guess for the password 2. you have to clear the cmos or bios settings by removing your cmos battery from your motherboard for about 10 seconds. Then put it back again then on your computer. That's all have a nice day!

My computer may have a virus.....it won't go past the toshiba logo screen when I turn it on....it stays on a black screen with a small white cursor.....help me please!

Hi. Try to drain the electorstatic energy of the motherboard. Remove the battery and unplugged the power adapter. Press and hold the power button for 30 secs then put everything back in. Turn on the computer and see if you will be getting the screen. If screen wont show up then this is most likely an LCD problem.

Toshiba TE2100, Sreen flashes rapidly on and off, If I tap it on the side, it stops flashing, bu intermitently starts again. Seems lide aloose connection in the wiring to screen, as computer will still...

Sounds like you are correct about the loose connection. There is a thin ribbon cable that powers the monitor.

You will have to download instructions for taking your laptop apart, but once you do, simply reseat the ribbon cable. That should fix it! Good Luck.

Sound driver was not install

Try downloading the driver from http://notebook.driversdown.com/notebook-drivers/Toshiba-TE-2100-notebook-Yamaha-AC-XG-Sound-Driver_89787.shtml
It is an EXE file, so just double-click on it once downloaded an follow the on-screen prompts. Have a nice day.

It sounds like your Operating System is gone. Try to run a repair by pressing the proper key that kives you your comuter's booting options. If that doesn't work, then probably reinstalling your operating system will fix this, as it has fixed the same problem for me in the past. Thanks

Try holding the Fn key down and then press the F5 key a few times, waiting a few seconds each time to give it a time to switch between display modes.

Go to the control panel. Open wireless connection wizard and configure it by giving the proxy setting of the router. There must be a DNS server to get you connected with the Domain.
First your os xp or vista
if u xp means go to network connection and see that tab, wireless network wizard and click next to open to next to next and click finish. It will appear in network connection windows. But u want to take airtel broad band wireless net key, and u open the tab if u finish ur network wizard tab. And it will open the icon it ask for key, u give it key to continue. It will ready to access the network, so this is the way
