If you are talking about your screenlock password then this is what you do WITHOUT deleting your data from the iTouch.
1.Plug the iPod in computer. 2.Go to "My Computer" And click the the drive where you iPod is located. 3.Change the folder option to "View all hidden files and folders" 4.Navigate to ipod_control 5.Then go to Device 6.There should be a file there named "_Unlocked" 7.Open that up with a text editor (Notepad) and the passcode will be there.
If you cannot remember the pass word, you will need to restore your device on the computer that you used originally sync your itouch to. So then you can reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you use or restore on a different computer from the orginal, you will be able to unlock the device for use, you can remove the pass word but your data will not be saved. Hope this helps.
