Question about IBM ThinkPad T23 2647 Notebook
I replaced the motherboard on my ibm thinkpad t23, the old one burned up. I can get the computer going, but it shuts off after 5 to 10 minutes. The cpu fan runs when the computer starts, and sometimes when applications start. Should the cpu fan run all of the time? I think it maybe an overheating problem. Are there any checks I can do to find out if it is the cpu, the cpu fan, or maybe something else?
Your CPU is overheating and the solution is a laptop cooling pad which will save you the cost of another motherboard.
