Question about Kenmore Elite Oasis 27052 Top Load Washer
The washing machine motor kicks in for the spin cycle and runs for 10 secs or so and then stops. After a minute or so, it starts up again for another 10 secs and then kicks off. The motor will run in the slow spin cycle mode, but not with clothes in it (it kicks off). I have tried replacing the motor, but the new motor did the same thing. So this is not overload issue. The rubber coupling is fine. The last expert suggested replacing the motor capacitor. I did that and it didn't solve the problem. Seems like the overload switch or some fuse is too sensitive or sensing the wrong input. This is a Kenmore Elite model -11024962300-I am a stubborn mechanical engineer, so I'm willing to try again, but I want to be confident that I'm doing the right thing this time. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
u must replace transmission. To replace the transmission, all of this must be done: cabinet off, agitator and spacer clips (1 metal, 1 plastic) out, pump off, motor off. Then there are 3 bolts that secure the transmission to the chassis. Tip the machine on an angle to the back, remove the 3 bolts, and the transmission will pull straight out. The new transmission will not come with the motor mounting plate, coupler, or clutch. These parts must be transferred from the old transmission. To remove the clutch, lift off the round metal washer at the base of the output shaft. Then remove the "E" clip and then pry out the wire-looking clip (loose end first) from the inside edge of the 4 tabs. The clutch will now lift off; make sure to retain the plastic insert. Reinstall the parts in the reverse order on the new transmission. Clear the breather hole in the top of the transmission (arrow pointing to it) with a needle or straightened paper clip. Transfer motor mount plate (I usually re-install it upside down from the way it was on the old tranny) and install the new coupler. Gently tap the coupler onto the input shaft until it is flush (I use a ratchet extension so as not to break the coupler with the hammer). Apply small amount of grease to output shaft and slide back into chassis. Assemble in reverse order from this point. Make sure to reinstall the plastic and metal spacer clips before installing the agitator. Once cabinet is back on and machine is back in place, lift the back of the machine up and down to reset the rear leveling legs. Any further questions are certainly welcome.

There is a motor controller in the washing machine that makes the motor run and stop.if that motor controller is faulty this problem happens.its bit techical to do the reparing manually.as it requires a professional repair person.as where it is located that is mentioned in the link.if you are quite able to use the multimeters and soldering irons.you can do it your self.
as the reparing cost is negligible.so its worth getting it repaired. thanks.keep updated.

It sounds like a bad motor, overload is inside motor assembly and is not sold as separate part.
Motor can also be tested by energizing it directly. Also check the motor ground connection is not failing with vibration, shortly after starting.
You can also read voltages to the motor, if they cut down, then check wiring harness, motor control unit if present, and timer board.
More likely the problem is the motor, overloading in ten seconds and cutting down, if voltages are good usually you have to replace the motor.

Still i have a feeling it could be a bad capacitor, get the motor capacitor and relay check before anything else. I think the problem lies between these two...
Let me know .... Kevin
