Need cd info to reinstall printer

My printer will not print from my computor. it makes good copies but it just stopped copying from the computor and i do not have the CD to do the reinstall how do i download that information? HM mat8266@hotmail.com

Go to the manunfacture website of your printer. Usually under Support or Drivers or Downloads you will be able to download the drivers. You will need the model of your printer as well as the Operating System.

I need to know the steps of make a copy and the transfer it on to my computor


Try Ctrl + c (copy) then go to your word doc and Ctrl + v (paste) to paste into your document.
If this does not work then the WEB site has prevented copying this document.
You will need to print the WEB document and then type the info into your document.

its a printer driver issue for me..

I think you need to reinstall your printer driver again..
first you need to uninstall existing printer driver ..and restart your computer ...and then reinstall you printer driver..

why you need to reinstall?

because the printing application for the printer has been corrupt or missing..only the copy and scan application is running properly..

that's why it only scan and copy..but not print some document..

Can not reinstall printer


Try disconnecting the printer from the USB port and reinstalling the CD program. Don't connect the printer to the USB port till the program says to do so.

printer is offline yet cables are connected and printer was working a day or so ago!

Printer want print


Hmmm i think i need a bit more info... have you tried using the copy function? Check the Lcd screen for error msgs? If the copy function works and there are no error msgs then i would suggest a uninstall and then reinstall of the driver:

Use this updated driver direct from lexmark. During the install it should print a test page.

If the test print does not work then try a different usb port.

Printer not printing


try a test page, first, please..computer disconnected from printer..

and go get fresh set of printer drivers here

Better you unsinstall and then reinstall the Printer software.

Won"t print- will copy:


You need to reinstall your printer driver. If you have the installation cd,
1. unplug your printer from the computer,
2. install the driver from the cd,
3. plug your printer back into the computer
4. turn the printer on
5. print your document.

If you do not have the installation cd, try the printer manufacturer's web site for the print driver. Before installing the driver, disconnect the printer from the pc to make sure installation goes smoothly.

Once the driver is installed, when you plug the printer into the computer and power it on, the computer will find it and finish the installation process automatically.

This will not help the problem posted by guest. His problem is totally unrelated.
