Re: Belking router trouble

Hello Wolter, Are you losing sync with your ISP or are you just not routing. Plus are you connected via DSL or Cable? These are important questions. In any event you might be experiencing line issues. Try this: log into your router write down the configuration information (for DSL: login and password to your ISP) press and hold the reset button on your router until it resets (all lights Blink) then reconnect and reconfig your login and password to your ISP BTW the router will revert to the default entry ID and password. Once the router is reset and the configuration has been restored try to use it.

I forget the password for my belking router

The suggested solution for this, is to reset the router by pressing the small reset button which will either be located on the rear or base of the router. You usually need a small pin or tip of a pen to press the button and depending on your model you might need to hold the reset button in for 5 -10 seconds.
After you have done this ALL SETTINGS WILL HAVE RESET but you will be able to set a new password and to prevent a future loss of the password it's suggested you make the next password something more personal.
If you have trouble, supplying me with the model number of the router you have, i can run you through step by step on how to do this method with your particular model of router.

I had to reset my router because I forgot my security key. Now the wireless isn't working. The light is off and I can't connect to it with my laptops. What happened and how can I fix it?

It is possible that since your reset your router that the settings is more likely to be reset as well then you will have to connect using an ethernet cable direcly from the lptop to your router to turn on the wireless capability of your Belkin router.

You will need to get your router's Default gateway to get in the router and turne the wireless capability on it. Most probobly the IP address of your Belking would be type this in IE on the address bar then press enter this should lead you into the router "Belkin" make sure that your are connected using ethernet from the laptop to your Belking router to be able to do this.

How to solve my d-link issue?

You can try to reset the router.. While it's on, press the reset button for 15 seconds (do not release), then unplug the power cord, release the reset button, count 15 seconds then plug the power cord back, then press the reset button again for 15 seconds. Then try to reconfigure the router.

We've just moved house and have aquired to belking routers a belkin wireless pre n and a belkin ADSL G Plus MIMO I want to use the latter as a bridge how can I?

You need to access the setup page of your Belking router and go to the wireless setup, look fro Use as Access Point, now just a reminder this will defeat the NAT IP sharing feature of the router. Configure the IP address of the router to the same subnet as the network your tying to bridge here's the more detailed procedure:

1. Enable the AP mode by selecting "Enable" in the Use Access Point only page. When you select this option you can now change the IP Settings.

2. Set your IP settings to match your network. Click "Apply Changes"

3. Connect a cable from the LAN port of the router to your existing network.
