Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

Green flashing light

I had been given the WD-52525 by a friend. had trouble every now and then with the timer light not allowing the tv to turn on.I would either reset and when that did not work unplug and it would work fine. until the indicater for the bulb came on and I replaced that. (would not work) got advice to change capacitors( did that) It had a leaker and a bulging 3300uf. I replaced with same but used a 16 volt. Put it back together and here I am, with a blinking green light.
Your help would be very much apprieciated. Ken

  • If the two capacitor you replace are 35v nominal value and you installed a 16 v. i would get the other ones imm. This capacitors you replaced are really really important. A down value could be not enough voltage rate for this guys who are feeding at least 30 IC,s around the set. (double check polarity)
  • I know is anoint but the job you did to get those caps out required to basically open a bible of circuits. Check your connectors in between the block (remember the tv was working before you open it)
  • sit comfortable to do this job many conectors could unplug specially up and down or any where.
  • Good luck! great job to defeat this problem.
  • There is dessert: If at the end you get the tv working and the tv looks pale or dimm or not powerfull colors. (no, stop, dont open it again, at least at the bottom) this is a cleanning in the reflexion area so start releasing the screen from the set. Clean mirrors. bye.
