washer should show error code on electronic display by lights flashing or led read out if not lighting up can be control board check your home power first
Hello - This particular issue can be caused by quite a few reasons. Washer could be experiencing a communication error from the main control board, faulty door lock assembly or the timer itself is not operating correctly. Did you notice a humming noise? If so, either the drainage hose/pump is clogged and needs to be cleaned or could possibly have another issue with the door lock assembly. You can also press and hold the start/pause and cancel button together at the same time for approximately 30 seconds to display an error code on the LED. What error code does it display? However, I would suggest contacting a professional to accurately diagnose the washer.
I had a similar problem on my Neptune. All the machine would do is beep. I believed it was a stuck button so I got a new touch pad and that solved the problem. I also substituted a control board prior to buying the touch pad but the problem was the same.
First of all what exactly do you mean by "changed the CPU"? If its the processor? Is only the display not working, since you have said that the fan runs, it means the PC is starting. Check the Keyboard & mouse PS2 jacks. If there is any bent pins in the jacks? If so gently straighten with a pair of tweezers. Also try using a working Keyboard & Mouse from any other PC. If that still does not work, do you see the led lighting up on the MB? Does the MB make beeping sounds? How many? ALso mention the processor you have so that we may be able to help...............sodeep
dp,,dont worry about the door swich,,what i need you to do is unplug the unit,,and take back console off and look at your control board you will see a blue relay,,look under it it the resistors burnt,,do that first im here onthe job,,if those resistors are burnt you have defective control board..
My problem has been repaired by my husband. I do not have the self cleaning on my oven yet the control board thought my self cleaning was on and the door was open. He had to jumper a wire between a connection on pannel to confuse the code and cause the board to set a new error code that could be reset. Which we were able to set the EO code and follow procedure for power disconnect and the board rest. We now have an opperatioal oven. Thank you .
Telescope, Im assuming your model starts with 417.44092, Kenmore made by Frigidaire. You have the best model with the digital display. Try unplugging the machine for 5 minutes to see if you can reset the board. If that doesn't work put it into a test mode by doing the following: Turn the dial to drain spin, press cancel to turn off the led's. Within 5 seconds press and hold the options and pause/cancel together for 5 seconds. All the led's should light. Now by turning the dial 1 click at a time clockwise you are going to test the following. 1rst click- hot water solenoid 2. bleach solenoid 3. Bleach and wash water solenoid 4. door lock solenoid activates 5. door lock solenoid de-activates. 6. the washer will fill and tumbe. 7. washer will fill and spin 8. drain pump and door lock will activate and washer will go in high spin. 9 clicks from the start, the last error code will be displayed. To clear the error, press and hold the options and cancel buttons for 3 seconds. To exit the test, just unplug the washer for 5 seconds. Sometimes these electronic boards just get a glitch and have to be reset. Make sure that the dispensor door is shut all the way. Try these things first...Catriver..post back.
