Unfortunately you have to replace the screen. There are no methods, that I know of to remedy dead pixels.

Dead pixel repair

Hi Tasha,
Unfortunately, repairs at the "pixel level" are not possible. The display is an "all or nothing" type of repair (I'm not talking about the back lights and support electronics - I'm *only* talking about the display screen). That means that the entire screen is replaced if there are to many dead pixels. (Most screens have dead pixels - manufacturers limit the number of dead pixels on a screen that can be assembled to a TV). If it the Quality Assurance people in the factory find a number of dead pixels that is less than a certain amount - it is "good" and ships. If it is more - it is scrapped.

Generally, your options are: live with it, replace the screen or buy a new TV.

If your laptop is under warranty, & if the number of dead pixels (as it is known by) is more than 6, contact Dell customer care & send them the screenshot. Number of dead pixels has to be atleat 6. Can you count hown many such pixels make up that smudge?

My 1080 HD tv has green pixals on the screen. They are not burned in they move.

These pixels are know as dead pixels and are not covered under warranty, in fact most manufacturers expect them and set a certain number of acceptable dead pixels before the screen is classified as faulty. There is no way to get rid of these dead pixels I am affraid to say. If the seem to move randomly all over the screen then this could mean that the logic for the screen is on its way out and as this is an integral part of the LCD module means replacing it would be extremely costly.

I have my LG LCD flat screen TV, accidentally i bottle of Soda burst on the screen, i wipe it a dried it using a dry cloth, the next morning i have this black spots on my screen, please help

If you are sure its not a stain. then its a dead pixel on your monitor.. sooner or later it will spread out. To be sure if its a dead pixel, run your monitor in different colors, black screen, green, red and blue.. If the spots stays then its dead pixel.. You will be replacing the lcd when time comes that it spreads out.

Dead pixel anything i can do about it my tv is 2006

  1. Start by turning off your monitor.
  2. Find a pen that has a rounded, dull end and get a slightly damp cloth to protect your screen.
  3. Fold your cloth in two so that you do not puncture it accidentally. You don’t want to scratch your screen, do you?
  4. Put the cloth in front of the stuck pixel and start applying slight pressure on it with your pen. Do not put pressure anywhere else than on the defective pixel, or you may break additional ones.
  5. Continue applying pressure, and turn your monitor on.
  6. Remove the pen from the screen, and voilà! The stuck pixel should be gone.
  7. Be very careful doing this. The monitor is very fragile and too much pressure may cause more dead pixels. You can also just try it with your finger while the screen is on... just massage the area. NOT TOO MUCH PRESSURE! also try tapping that spot... if you see a little white color while you tap that is plenty of pressure. Let me know if that helps it. (This is only for LCD)

Why are blue dots appearing on my Sony Flat screen tv. they seem to multiply every day.

If the dots are tiny, those are probably dead pixels. The circuitry that drives them is probably degrading over time for some reason. It's obviously defective, dead pixels happens a lot with LCD screens. I would hope it would be covered by warranty, because the only way to fix dead pixels is replacing the screen.

This is a dead row of pixels. The LCD panel itself needs to be replaced. It would be far cheaper to replace the monitor.

Grey smudge like images on the screen.

Most possibly those are dead pixels. Those cannot be fixed in most cases. some software and some technic may help but that is not a confirm solution. please take it to the service center or talk them if still the warranty is valid and it covers the facts of dead pixels till date.
