How do i get more water in the toilet bowl?

On some toilets the float level is adjustable inside the tank. If there is an arm with a large ball attached then bend the arm up slightly. If it has a small plastic float then some of these can be screwed up or down on the tube supporting the float. The higher the float the more water that will transfer to the bowl. If your house is built in the 1980's or newer then you should have all plastic pipe and I would switch out to a low flush toilet. If your house is old (pre 1960) then you have cast iron or clay pipe and you may want to keep your 3 gallon flush as long as you can. If you are in the between zone then you need to check and see what kind of pipe was used. A smooth wall pipe requires less water to flush. If you go with a new toilet go for a mid grade one. The cheep ones have poor castings on the inside and it causes friction that results in a miss flush more often. I like the Delta with 3 bolts on the tank in the $150 to $200 price range. If all else fails a new flush valve will come with instructions and they do go bad after a while so now may be a good time to replace it. Flowmaster has been pretty good to me and you can pick one up for about $20. There are ones that are supposed to shut the water off if the flapper sticks but they take a bit more experience to figure out how to set them and you will find yourself flushing the toilet and nothing is happening because the float switch has the water shut off.

Water level in bowl is too low so it's a problem keeping it clean. How can I raise the water level?

All toilet bowls have a preset water level determined buy the design of the internal s-trap and can not be change. However if the water level in the tank is not as high as it should be this will affect the water put into the bowel as the bowel in refilled by the flush valve and if it is set to stop before it get filled to the proper setting the bowl water level may be low.
A quick test is to see if the water level in the tank is up to the line in the tank most all toilet tanks have a line either stenciled or marked with a indentation in the porcelain. Another way is to mark the level in the bowel with tape or a marker then pour water slowly into the bowel not fast enough to flush it wait to see if it stays higher then the mark you made or settles back to that level.

Hello. Your lid has two buttons so you can do a half flush or a full flush. A water saving feature. Since the toilet is flushing by itself every hour or so, you must have a leaking flush valve. Replace the valve to solve that problem. Joe

After flushing, water level in bowl fills and then slowly drops.

Check to be sure small tube is flowing inside the ovefow tube. This is the water that flushes the rim holes, and refills the bowl. If you don't have flow clean or replace the float valve.

Low water level in bowl after flushing

The small black tube that goes into the overflow is used to fill the bowl after flushing. Would check to make sure that water is coming out of that tube at full force or if its coming out at all.

The water level in the bowl is limited by the height of the internal trap down stream from the bowl. There is no adjustment possible. If the problem is odors, you can either flush more often, turn on the exhaust fan, or buy a different brand or model of toilet.
