Question about Akai LCT42Z7TA TV
Oh Dear. I had the same problem!! The Akai televisons are not well engineered-meaning that they tried to put too much in a little package. The problem is that the power supply is malfunctioning"supposedly". But I believe that the sad truth is that the whole motherboard is malfunctioning. I can suggest a few TEMPORARY solutions but they too are not guaranteed to work! 1. Bring the tv to a repair shop and tell them to check the power supply. If it is faulty -have it exchanged and it will work for <2 weeks. 2. Literally "bend" the television in multiple directions to find a sweet spot where the screen turns on.( wait for the diode tu tur green before doing this) this will slightly bend the motherboard in hopes of agitating it to turn the screen/bulbs on. I am terribly sorry that you too have this ridiculous problem!!!!!! :-( Good Luck!!! I am crossing my fingers for you!!
