Re: front panel connector

First of all remove the front panel connectors before powering up, cause U do not want to put any wires to the USB headers. In doing so u might damage u'r board Second get your hands on the mother board manual,, if the front header has no label printing indicating the connection details. If no manual. then get on line and do a google search you'll find plenty of info's on how to DIY. Happy hunting Rifaa

Power problam

Hello the manual can be downloaded here:

Please unzip the file when downloaded.
You will also need adobe reader to read the content.

Try to renew the power supply.
I think that`s why the mainboard is not having any power.
Look also for the front panel on off connector, is not connected wrong.

If no luck changeing the power supply, the mainboard probably has a internal fault, and must be renewed.

Good luck

Wiring diagram for ms 7069

Hello here is the homepage:

This mainboard is a OEM manufactured by msi for NEC.
The support belongs to nec, and there is nothing to be found at the msi homepage.

Basicly its just to connect the 20 or 24 pin power connector, and the 4 pin atx power supply.
Next connect the power to the dvd and harddrive.
Then connect the data cable from the drives to the mainboard.

The front panel connector looks like this:

This is basicly the same for all msi mainboards.

Next you can power up the pc, and enter the bios and set the boot order ( press the delete button when posting )

Lay the windows disk in the dvd drive, and leave the bios and save your settings.
Now your ready to install windows.

The drivers can be downloaded here:

Best of luck

I have recently installed windows 7 but there is no audio sound i think drivers have not been installed that is why my computer is lack of audio sound to hear a music please make a hand to me i mean h

Hello here is the homepage:

Here is no sound drivers for windows 7.

If i am wrong by the mainboard model, enter the ms xxxx number here:

The ms number is located on the mainboard.

The solution is to buy a sound card, to add on the mainboard.
You just have to make sure, the driver is available for your windows system.
A sound card, can be bought online, or in a computershop.

As i know, MSI is not planning to make drivers, for this mainboard for windows 7.

Good luck

1. Check first all the cables to be fitted correctly and tight.
2. Check the placed memory by testing it with a memory test app.
3. Check the Power Supply Unit (by change from another system).
4. Put in another harddisk, it the controller on the harddisk fails, this can happen.
5. If nothing works, your mainboard mat be failing.

Installed New Motherboard Computer Cycles off and on when I push the start button, I have to play with the reset button several times before it will Boot.

Check that the Processor is seated properly and locked in place. Also, reseat the memory.
Re-check all your power supply connections.

Are the front panel connectors in the correct place?

Download the manual for you're MSI PM8M-V motherboard from MSI;
You will need to download and install Adobe reader to view the manual. Download Adobe;
Open manual to page 9. See Front Panel Connectors: JFP1 & JFP2. There is no need to connect JFP2's Power LED jumper, this is completed at JFP1. Each wire jumper coming from the case will have one wire color in common with all connectors except the speaker jumper. That common colored wire will be use as negative.
The speaker wire commonly as red is positive and black is negative.

My computer sometime do not boot, I've got a black screen (No Signal) and hangs there until I unplug the computer from power line. My configuration is: MSI P35 Platinum Combo Bios V1.2(updated), Q6600,...

there are a lot of causes of black screen.. check the ram, or cpu.. or the vga connector.. about the booting.. be sure that your operating system is good.. if not of course not booting anymore
