I had the same problem, no power to heater element or press switches on the front. Element & stat ok. Check plug-in connections at the timer, mine were just slightly loose & not putting power to the heater.Just needed pushing all the nway in. They must work loose with vibration.

Electric dryer tumbles but does not dry clothes on any setting. dryer is only 4 yrs old.

Heating element has gone bad. You need to unplug unit. remove back, then find heating element and remove it. Look for what looks like broken springs, if found replace element. 99% of electric dryers not drying are the heating element. Cost around $50

Drier spinning but doesn't get hot/warm.

Hi

If the dryer is not drying the clothes then you would need to check for the following things—
Electric Dryer---
1. Inspect the fuses and circuit breakers they may have burned out or tripped. Usually, dryer will still tumble but not create heat if a fuse or a circuit breaker is not working.
2. Check for the amp reading at 240 V, it should have reading of 24, 21 and 3 amp (approx.) for 2 lines and neutral respectively.
3. Heating element may have turned or the connection to the element might be loose. Sometimes a shorted circuit element will keep on blowing the fuse or circuit breaker.
4. Motor wiring shorting to ground.
Hope this helps...

Just bought 2nd hand a supposedly good working order zanussi tumble dryer got it home turned it on drum turning but cold air in dryer. we then noticed that the back got rather hot.and then nothing. due to...

this could be the stats or the drum is not turning Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail (meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) that might need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can trip out or burn out (meaning opencircuit)
4 Moderntumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuitboards) thesehave programs that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an errorcode showing you were the fault is.
5 Faultyconnections and burned wires may also be the fault.

The drum for our Zanussi TC7103 has stopped spinning

sounds like a new drive belt is required. pull the machine out remove the mains supply!!!!
remove the top and look into the back of the machineif you cant see the belt them remove the back of the machine, it's like a small fan felt from a car it's either come off or disintegrated in which case you'll need a new one.
