Problem for Washing Machines

Generic problem for all Washing Machines

I have a Roper top loading washing machine. The hot water won't shut off. The machine will go thru the cyles just fine but the hot water keeps running the whole time. Even after the machine has stopped the hot water is still running. What is wrong and what do I do to have it fixed?

An obstruction in the hot water-inlet valve may mean that it's no longer able to shut off and should be replaced.
