Go to system properties --- Hardware Tab and then device manager. Check whether there are yello mark on both sound and LAN. If yes, then reinstall the drivers for the same.

Hi Everyone , After trying to solve the start up

After this reply you will still not be able to start normally.
The boot to lan is trying to start off an image stored on a server, you normally only see this at a business.
Boot to CD is looking for a bootable CD like the disk used to install Windows.
Boot to hard drive is normal but from your post it appears that it cannot communicate with your hard drive. Normally, when you have hard drives issues, the file is corrupt and at this point the computer complains but is sounds like it just freezes which suggests to me that the controller is gone.
In short, in order to get this working you will probably have to buy a new hard drive and reinstall Windows from CD. Since the version of Windows you have is XP (if you have the disk) and support for it ended almost 3 years ago, you are probably better off just getting a new laptop. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsforbusiness/end-of-xp-support

Going from No wifi connection to reinstalling windows is a big difference in time and maybe documents. If your sure you can't boot and want to reinstall xp the best would be to go into your bios. Its F12 or whatever on your machine just so you get to the bios. There you can select a certain amount of memory that you have to be partioned. Simply all would go for your xp installation. With the xp disk in the drive turn on the machine and it should boot to the installation. If it doesn't your boot order is incorrect meaning the machine is trying to boot from the hard drive and you want the machine to boot from your dvd drive. So in the bios you have to make sure the default boot at least temporarily is the dvd drive. When in the bios that is real simple to change.

With the computer instructed to boot from dvd drive and disc in the dvd drive it will jump to the installation of the xp pro. If you have any questions come back with another and you should get a response as this is a fairly common question

Windows XP Pro hangs on resume from standby or hibernate

There are many reasons this can happen, and unfortunately very difficult to pinpoint the issue in a particular case.

1. In your system BIOS there is usually two sleep mode (power states) you can select. It is Usually set to S3, change it to S1 (or vice versa), and disable wake on LAN (if available) unless you need it

2. Attempt a clean boot and see if some background startup item or service is causing the issue. see this article for troubleshooting startup items

3. Make sure you drivers (especially chipset, network, video and sound) and BIOS are up to date.

4. Disconnect as many things as you can (boot with just your keyboard, mouse and monitor) try a different mouse and keyboard.

I hope you find the cause, also check in Event Viewer to see if there are corresponding errors

Is there any reason for your preference for Win 2K over Win XP Pro? XP Pro would be a better choice over Win 2K.

You may be able to selecting the CD as the alternate boot device by pressing F12 as the laptop is booting up.
I am not familar with BIOS key on your laptop but you can try these keys on a cold boot up (don't use a warm boot up - Ctrl+Alt+Del keys). Try:-
Del
F1
F2
F10
Ctrl+F1 or F2
Alt+F1 or F2
Esc+F1 or F2
Once you get into the BIOS you can change the boot order, set the CD as the first device. You should be able install Windows from the CD.

If these keys don't work go to the Fujitsu WEB site to download the manual, whilst you are there you will also need to download the drivers for your model laptop the Windows version of the devices that are installed on your laptop eg. audio, video, modem, LAN etc. These need to be installed after the Windows installation.

Why would you torture yourself with that old thing?  Yeah, you can create more boot script lines...they should designate the proper root for the second volume and that ought to fix any missing file issues if indeed ICG32.dll and company are where they started....

Xp format problem

Assuming that you have both XP's on the drive, when it boots up, have you selected and tested both? OR

Did you format the entire drive and wipe the old system off, replacing it with the new install?

The simplest why to fix is to boot up on the Pro CD and format the entire drive and install new system. It sounds like your old info may still be there, but you can't get to it. Try the different boot option and burn your desired data to keep to a cd, then do the simplest. Don't worry about the system drivers, you can recover them from the restore cd or download them from the Dell.
The Pro XP will be able to recover your system enough to get the drivers on line.

No big deal, just time consuming.

Good Luck

Windows XP Pro installed but computer boots to Home Edition

It sure is possible.
I would take it back to them and demand that WINXP Pro is put back in there and it boot correctly
They saved about 50 bucks putting in WINXP Home.

Sounds like a bunch of rookies trying to pull a fast one.
