-   I have the same problem.
It is unfortunate that the reinstallation doesnot restore the factory settings in the notebook. I noticed the following incompletions so far:-
1. The webcam does not take snaps nor any video though it works for the video chat.
2. The sleep mode is not available.
3. Support from Dell is not upto the mark, so much so that when I fill in the Service tag of my notebook which I purchased a week back, the response is that the machine is out of warranty. Or is it old machines are sold in India.

-   I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 and the integrated webcam is not working. It worked when new, but the computer crashed and it was factory reset, as instructed in the book. 'Webcam Central' comes up, but it says 'please plug in a supported webcam' Have I done something wrong?-   nicolajane

Webcam not working on Vista32 even after all proper driver installations. Working in XP though.
