You're going about all wrong. ALL the power wires need to be connected. The MTS programmimg is not done through the remote, it's done WITH the remote. Open your instructions; Turn ignition on then off, press and hold programming button on antenna untill the LED flashes three times, release programming button. Now, press and release the programming button one time then press and hold. (This the transmission option) Press the unlock on the remote. The LED should flash two times indicating that the system is now in automatic transmission. Turn the ignition on to exit programming.
Hold down the tv button and then press and hold down the power key untill the light comes back on then press and release the power key untill tv comes on or goes off then press the (dvd) stop key and it is programed
Look for an audio button on your remote control and press it. Select and lock in either mono or stereo. You are currently in SAP mode. If your remote control does not have an audio button it might have an MTS button or sound or some other similar labeling that will restore your normal sound.
