Question about Garden
Was giving a 1996 murray riding lawnmower ohv 14.5 horse power that has been sitting for 3 years. I changed the battery and oil. when trying to start the starter barely moves the the fly wheel. I was told the fly wheel was replaced the last season used and looks almost new. any suggestions
Don't do any of that. Your battery is toast and cannot hold a charge any longer. It's time for a new one.

Most of the time it is the carburetor if it was left with gas in it. Try taking plug out Check for spark and put a 1/2 teaspoon of gas in the cylinder replace plug and try to start it, if it starts for a few seconds it is not getting gas. clean carb

As always check battery make sure you have enough juice, if your starter is weak check the end cap on bottom for rust. Sometimes you give it a love tap with a hammer and it will increase rotation speed. For one turn of ignition. If this happens you have a bad starter, the internal brushes could be stuck or rusted.

Take the spark plug out and pour a little bit of oil in the cylinder and crank it over without the spark plug in. Make sure ground wire is clean on both ends.
