Go to Control Panel, (top right View Small Icons). Then look for Power Options. On this page, you'll have the option to leave the monitor on. You should also check "Advanced Power Options". Don't be afraid of the word, "Advanced." It only means "customizeable"
If your mouse isn't waking your monitor, try the keyboard's space bar. I found it works better than the mouse at waking a sleeping computer
The x-sus or y-sus panel wil be the fault.Check the fuses on these panels ,if one of the fuses is open then that panel must be replaced. Not verry cheap to replace.
I would recommend that you try it on another computer to see if you are able to reproduce the results. If that is the case you should look at any new drivers, software or updates that have been installed. If the issue continues with another PC, it sounds as though the monitor's power supply is possibly failing. in that case I would suggest you simply replace the whole monitor. Unless you are not shy with a soldering iron. ;) good luck!

Try getting a new power supply. Replacement SOny flyback 859882800. That part costs $18 and would be the most inexpensive solution. Unfortunately your probably gonna have to do it yourself unless you want to pay huge handling/service fees. Just google the part number and it should come up. Part# : 8-598-828-00 SONY FLYBACK 8-598-828-00
