Hi,

I have an older dishwasher also and recently my wife also complained about it not cleaning right... so me being the man I am tried in vain to clean the things... Bought new spray arms online and installed them in minutes...now the thing works like new... However I have also found that if the heating element goes bad then that also can mess things up bad... So I would buy new spray arms, and also check out the heating element to make sure it is working... Here is a tip that will help you with the online buying...

On completion of cycle -dishes cold and v/wet.Tablet partially dissolved, dishes nearly clean!!

It is no longer heating the water. It could be a blown fuse on the heater circuit, or a failed temperature sensor, but more likely the heater element itself has failed.

We have a Kenwood dishwasher and last week found some water in the base after a cleaning cycle. We cleaned the filter than ran the dishwasher cycle with a cleaning tablet which seemed to fix the problem....

sounds like the pump intake maybe stopped up or the pump is worn out, with the dishes not getting clean this sounds like a pressure problem

My diplomat dishwasher is not dissolving the tablets even on a hot temperature, what can i do?

Check if the circulating pump is actually working - are the dishes being cleaned at all ? If not - check pump for operation and replace if faulty.
If tablets are still stuck in a compartment - replace operating mechanism for tablet drawer, or - cheaper - put tablets in with the cutlery instead.

Not washing properly.fills and water circulates but does not always dissolve all of tablet and does not clean both top and bottom shelves. checked arms clear. What next?

Hi,
There is not enough salt in the dishwasher & that is what causes the sand like residue on dishes. Sometimes even when you use an all in 1 dishwasher tablet this may still not contain enough salt for the hardness of the water in your area. Using salt regular helps keep the dishwasher clean. The problem is hard water going into your dishwasher. it leaves the residue you are talking about. There is a new affordable product called the dishwasher filtration system it filters out the hard minerals that cause this before they enter your dishwasher leaving your dishes spot free with every load. You can get it at www.dishwasherfilter.com.

Dishwasher 3 in 1 detergent tablet not dissolving.

I believe that the instructions for using these 3-in-1 tablets is to place it in the open dish detergent cup, rather than in the closable compartment, since the tablet needs to get doused by a lot of water in oder to fully dissolve and be effective in getting the dishes clean.

Since the tablets are designed to dissolve more slowly, they are able to be used for the entire range of washing cycles. If it's a constant problem and you don's have an open detergent cup below or next to your closed detergent dispenser, just toss it into the bottom of the dishwasher instead.

The reason that the tablet isn't getting dissolved fully is because the door is preventing the tablet from dropping all the way out and the door is shielding the tablet from quite a bit of water spray.

Another option is to take a look at your owners manual for the dishwasher and see if they recommend these all-in-one tablets versus regular powered detergent and liquid rinse aid.

Hope that helps and best regards!

Tablet not fully dissolving. dishes not clean after wash.

The water is not hot enough. It may be pausing to heat the water and when you open the door it resets and starts again. Check the electric element at the bottom that heats the water to see if it is burnt out.

Hi there, always rinse the dishes immediately after use before putting them in the dishwasher. Also make sure they are not too tightly stacked, as this prevents proper cleaning.

Not cleaning properly

You could be using the dishwasher at a higher temperature than the biological agents in the tablets can handle, and so become denatured and can't clean your dishes properly. I have had this problem a little while ago and found that using the "eco" setting (should heat the water to around 30c and has the added bonus of using less water) works well and makes sure that all of the dishes are clean.
It could also be a problem with the release system, where the door the holds the tablet can't release it on time and so the tablet does not dissove. Have a check to see if anything is stopping the door opening and see if there is anything you can do to make it release on time.
Hope this helps,
