Panasonic viera TH-50PZ84U screen does not power up. The red power light keeps flashing twice then pause and repeats. What is it telling me. Thanks

Power supply issue either on that board or something connected to it pulling voltages down there.

Something inside has failed.
The flashing is a code for the repair engineer to tell him/her what is wrong.

Could be a cooling fan failure, there are five fans across the back of this tv ( i think) if even 1 fails the power supply shuts down. If so fan needs replacing,

1. Press tv on your Sky remote control.

2. Press and hold down select and the red button together until the red light at the top of your Sky remote control flashes twice.

3. Press tv again

Then enter the remote control code using the number keypad. The red light will flash twice if a valid code has been entered.

Panasonic Code: 0051

4. Point your Sky remote control at your TV and press the Power button. If this turns the off as you'd expect, then the tv should be set, press Select and the remote should work

5. If the TV does not turn off press tv, then press the Power button again, repeat this process until the TV turns off, when the TV turns off press Select.

Two flashes sugests that the power supply is faulty.It will have to be taken in to a service centre for repairs.

Hi to all, My 42" Panasonic plasma have the same problem. It turned itself off and now red light flashes 7 times, than after short pause 7 times again. And so on. Any ideas what is wrong??
